Never Again

You only want it's because it's over

But it's set in stone

And a simple pencil

Cannot reverse the words I've carved

Into the brick of my skin

"n e v e r.   a g a i n."

Written on the walls

Of my steel heart

Is this phrase.

Never again will I fall

Into the deception of a snake

That rattles its tail like a toy

To draw me in to play.

How sad is it

To lose at your own game?

You must feel like youre at rock bottom.

Good.

At least then you will pay attention

To the words in the stone.

Just look down.

See how far you've fallen

And see my plea of absence

See how I beg you to stay away.
