Shub's POV :

The sun dips low on the horizon, it paints the sky with hues of orange and pink, casting a warm embrace upon the tranquil beach. Gentle waves kiss the shore, creating a soothing melody that mingles with the laughter of carefree beachgoers. The air is infused with the scent of saltwater and sunscreen. Chillin' by the beachside joint, grubbing away, and guess what? The crazy peaceful vibe makes me tune out the whole Ishu -Surya bhai drama. I'm lost in the serenity while Ishu spills the beans to bhabhi about Surya bhai.

As the evening unfolds, Virat, Rohit, Surya, and Rahul bhai exchange knowing glances, silently agreeing to bid adieu to their beachside haven and retreat to the comforts of their wives. I and Ishan find ourselves abandoned in the midst of their beachside feast, their comrades escaping the scene faster than a sandcastle at high tide. Left with no choice but to salvage the evening, the two of us exchange resigned looks and embark on a new adventure - one that involves neon lights, clinking glasses, and the lively atmosphere of a beachside bar.

As we settle into the barstools, Ishu raises his glass, "To unexpected escapades!" He grins, clinking his glass against mine. The clinking of glasses and laughter blend seamlessly with the rhythmic music that fills the air. The alcohol started taking over me, I started feeling bold. I lean towards Ishan and declare, "A little funny, isn't it? Everyone seems intrigued by our dating lives, but here we are, conquering the night alone." I take a sip of my peach flavored alcohol and blurt out, " Man, fuck it tho. Who needs a plus one when I have a partner in crime like you! "

Ishan laughs, raising his glass in agreement, "Absolutely! We're rewriting the script tonight, my friend. No love triangles or having to deal with people shipping us with others - just two amigos making memories on the sands of singledom."

Partner in crime? I laughed at my own words, finding it cringey. It would be more exciting if we were only partners- Woah! What am I thinking about right now? I blame it on the bittersweet alcohol! It's making me act up-

The neon lights reflect in Ishan's eyes as he smirks, catching the subtlety of my thoughts. "You know," he says with a playful tone, "if you're tired of the shipping with others thingy, we could always star in our own story, spice things up a bit."

I chuckle nervously, at the idea of being something more than friends with my best friend, dismissing it as a mere jest. "Ishan, you're crossing into dangerous territory there," I tease, taking another sip of the peach-flavored creation that seemed to be both my ally and accomplice tonight.

Just as our chemistry was deepening, a girl approached us. "Hey there, cutie. Fancy a dance?" she asked Ishan with a lustrous smirk on her face. Ishan hesitated, glancing between the girl and me. A pang of jealousy crept in as I faked a smile and gave an encouraging look to Ishan, trying my best not to make it obvious how much I wanted to go berserk on the girl and tell her to stay away.

Away from my Ishu.
