Find the Christmas Tree Farm references!
Taylor's POV (December 21st)
We are out of the hospital now! Chloe is feeling a lot better. The doctor cleared her to go to the Christmas Tree Farm, since we were originally supposed to go on my birthday... but you know, hospitals are fun too. But now we are going, which makes me really happy. Growing up, I always longed for the day I could take my family to a Christmas Tree Farm. There's just something so magical about them. The mistletoe, the sparkles, the lights. It all puts you into the spirit. In my heart is a Christmas Tree Farm."Squirt, you ready?" I ask Chloe walking into her room. She nods and zips up her winter boots. "Dang it this coat is taken up by static." I put her other Christmas coat on her and we walk downstairs. "I love your outfit, mommy." I smile and grab a purse, "Thank you missy." She nods, "Where's daddy?" I tell a driver to pull up a car. "He just got done with practice. He's gonna meet us there." Chloe groans, "I miss daddy." I give her sly smile, "I'm sure daddy misses you too. But you'll see him soon enough." She nods and walks to the car with security. I follow behind them and get in the car. Sometimes my hormones go crazy when Trav is gone and I can feel that right now. I just wanna be in his arms, I want him to kiss me, and maybe even fuck me. But his career is important to him too. Obviously not as important as me, that man would do anything for me.
Just the other day while at the hospital, I wanted a specific kind of peanut butter, put on a specific kind of sandwich. I sent him 2 hours away just to go to the restaurant I wanted the sandwich from. And he got it for me, with no complaints. Like yes I know I'm pregnant with his babies and I'm going through all of this pain, but like that's still so sweet. Most men would've fought. Hell, Joe used to fight me for asking him to go get me something 5 minutes away. It got to the point where I stopped asking him to go get me anything at all. It was rough. But now, Travis... I could send him to get me something from Antarctica and he'd do it in a heartbeat. He's the most generous person ever, and I love him more than words could ever begin to express. I even love him more than peanut butter, and that's saying a lot.
"Mommy how far away is it?" Chloe asks. "20 minutes, but daddy is already 15 minutes away. So he'll beat us there. Don't worry baby, you're gonna see him very very soon." Chloe's face lights up thinking about getting to see her dad. He never came home yesterday.. he stayed at Pat's. They had a late night and an early morning so he figured he might as well stay there, it's closer to the stadium. So not seeing Travis pretty much all day yesterday, has taken it's toll on Chloe. She used to spend weeks without him during tour, but now we practically live in Kansas City. Going a day without seeing Travis isn't normal to her anymore. She has grown to love him as much as I do.
"HOLIDAY SHOPPING TRAFFIC," Chloe groans staring out the car window. We are still 17 minutes away and we are already stuck in traffic. "Holiday shopping traffic? Where'd you think of that?" I laugh. She shrugs, "I heard it in this crazy ladies song about Christmas tree farms. She seemed like an excited weirdo.. oh wait she's my mommy. I'm just kidding mommy, I love you." I kiss her cheek. Her face then lights up, "If I close my eyes will I be there!?" I shrug, "Maybe if you fall asleep long enough." She shakes her head, "That's not what I meant." I furrow my brows, "What?" She giggles, "You said.. "I close my eyes and I'm somewhere else, just like magic" if I close my eyes I'll be at the farm right?"
"Metaphorically speaking... but that's not exactly the case," I giggle. She sighs, "Wow mommy, you lied?" I tilt her chin up with my finger, "Not exactly princess, you're just too young to understand my figure of speech." Chloe lifts her chin up on her own, in a gesture of confidence, "One day I will be very smart and understand everything you say." I bop her little nose, "You my love, are already very, very smart." She grins. "I'm excited to get to the farm. I've never celebrated Christmas before. But based on your songs, it sounds magical!" I smile at her, "It is! It so is! Especially tree farms! Did I ever tell you I grew up on a Christmas Tree Farm?" Chloe shrugs, "I don't think so."
