Ok this is a theory I heard about how the purple guy never murdered the kids , let's look a the evidence.
YOU NEVER SEE HIM TOUCH A KID. YOU SEE HIM NEAR KIDS BUT NEVER TOUCHING THEM. Now you might say: 'but what about the FREDDY cupcakes mini games in FNAF 2?
And I saw props to you for noticing, but the thing is, he is yet again holding his phone, what would you do with a phone if you saw a murder, CALL 000 or 911! And notice how the kid just dies, doesn't bleed any pixels, (like what happened to purple guy in FNAF 3) or doesn't stab or shoot. He was simply calling the cops or whatever from the sight of a passing out kid.
Another note is how in five nights at freddy's 3, how purple guy dies from spring locks, we all claimed that he died from the horror the ghosts, but In that case, why was he freeing the souls?
Now hear me out, you might say: 'He never freed their souls, they just came back and killed him' and I say, well how about when purple guy dismantled the animatronics in the first place, but then the spirits killed him, but why did they kill him? Not because they wanted revenge, but just think about this: what would you do if you saw a kid ghost, YOU WOULD RUN AROUND, LIKE THE PURPLE GUY IN FNAF 3, the spirits didn't kill him, they spooked him to the point of hiding in the suit, killing him.
More proof? Ok here it is: The animatronics in the save them mini game go to stop the purple guy, but yet again, we don't see a knife or even the animatronics putting up a hand to stop, because they were SAVING the purple guy, the letters did spell out "SAVE THEM" but in today's vocabulary we sometimes instead of saying, 'Get him/her' we say 'get them', yet again, remember no one ever confirmed that purple guy was the killer, we just speculated from the obvious clues so we could be the first to solve the mystery, but Scott knew this would happen.
