Ok so it has been confirmed that in Fnaf 4 you play as the victim of the bite of 87, but all the facts lead to that Mr.Cawthon himself got it all wrong. So I've done some research on the frontal lobe and it turns out that the frontal lobe is pretty important. It controls fear, yes I said fear and it also controls nightmares, the ability to have nightmares.
Let's start on the fear first, if a boy without a frontal lobe looked into a hall and flashed his light three times and he saw nothing he would simply go back to bed, and if a boy saw an animatronic looking at him real or not he wouldn't give a damn so that's one reason Scott has got it all wrong. Now let's go to the nightmare part. If a boy without a frontal lobe can't have nightmares, the animatronics must be real, that's right I said real. Hope u enjoyed , leave a vote if you liked it
