Mia woke up early. The sun was just starting to rise but she couldn't go back to sleep. Sighing, she got changed and silently walked out of the marui hut.
They have been told that it might be dangerous to go for an early swim in the morning, but Mia couldn't care less. She called her ilu after grabbing her knife. She mounted, made the bond and went off.
The water felt cool against her skin. Mia smiled at a few glowing fish, circling her and the ilu. She felt happy. She felt at peace.
Mia beamed. She thought that everything was beautiful, the ocean, the islands, the people. This was Pandora. Pandora was beautiful. Everything here : Eywa, The Na'vi, The ocean and The forest, it was all beautiful.
But at the same time, it made her guilty. It was her people who were harming it. Her heart ached. But there was nothing she could do.
So much for a pleasant swim. Mia rode to the surface before heading towards land. That was when something collided with her ilu. Mia flew a few meters away from her ilu. Glancing around panickily, she saw something heading towards her.
As her vision cleared, her eyes widened.
It was a skimwing.
