The other maze (NewtxYn)

Chapter 3 'SHADERS'

We began climbing higher, there hadn't been any shaders yet but I had a feeling that they would come soon. Ximena was in the lead, despite that she was the last one to start climbing, I was in the middle keeping an eye on Aris and helping him when he didn't have a clue what he was doing. Sonya also wanted to help but she was further down to show him better.

"You guys coming?" -Yn

"Yeah yeah, just getting the hang of it" -Aris

"Uh, guys, I think you wanna see this" -Harriet

"What is it Harriet? We're in a hurry. We gotta get to the top before the shaders come" -Ximena

"Look out!" -Aris

A shader comes out of nowhere and begins to attack, hitting into the ice wall.

"Thanks stick" -Ximena

"Anytime, but I would like it if you called me Aris" -Aris

"I dont think it's time to like and or talk right now. More climbing less talking" -Harriet

"I agree, they are dangerous and fast" -Sonya

We climbed faster than ever, getting attacked by a shader could kill you. Just getting hit would probably make you die, they are strong enough to hit you off your gear so you would fall to the ground.

"what happens if they hit you?" -Aris

"You'll either fall down, witch is the good option, or you would get crushed into the ice dying" -Yn

"Has any ever happened before?" -Aris

"Yep, both has happened, none of it is fun" -Harriet

"Enough, We don't have time to chit chat!" -Ximena

"Rachel! On your left!" -Yn

A shader smashes into the ice right next to where Rachel was a minute ago.

"That was way too close, we gotta hurry" -Rachel

"Yn!" -Ximena

"What?" -Yn

I was in complete shock when I saw a shader being crushed into the wall and then falling down to the ground.

*Is that... the map of the maze?* I thought, it was.

"What's that on the shader's wing?" -Aris

"The.. Map of the maze"-Yn

"But we've spent months mapping the maze, and then it's just been here all the time!" -Harriet

"Harriet! Calm down" -Ximena

"You're gonna attract more shaders by yelling" -Sonya

"I'm sorry, but we've spent months going into the maze mapping it, losing Icers, and all we had to do was look at the things attacking us" -Harriet

"None of us knew, besides, we have never had time to look at their wings" -Yn

We were too busy to see the shader flying right in on Ximena, making her lose grip of her gear and fall. She tried to use her skates to grip into the ice wall again but it didn't help, Ximena was rolling around in the air in her hope of landing on the skates.

"XIMENA!" -Sonya and Yn

"We're going back to the spring now!" -Harriet

Aris looked like he was in complete shock, he saw an attack on his second day. We began climbing down as fast as we could, but there were still shaders everywhere. A shader flew over to Rachel and grabbed her by her arms and began flying towards the ground, a bit over the ground the shader let go of her and she fell down onto the hard ice.

When we finally got down to the girls we saw that Rachel was severely injured and Ximena was just laying there on the ice, not moving. We could hear Rachel peeping and crying, we skated over to the as fast as we could, Aris going very slow. There was blood everywhere.

"Rachel! Are you okay?" -Sonya

"D-Don't think about m-me" -Rachel

"Sonya, can you help Rachel on her leg and get her back to the spring?"- Yn

"But the blood, she'll bleed out" -Sonya

"we can only carry on on the fabric that we brought and Ximena can't move" -Harriet

"Is she...D-Dead?" -Aris

"I'm sorry you had to experience this on your second day" -Yn

"It's uhh, its fine" -Aris

"We gotta go quick before the shaders come back" -Harriet

"Aris, go help Sonya with Rachel, the bleedy leg gotta be in the air so she doesn't bleed out, Harriet you help me" -Yn

"Okay, so how is the leg supposed to be up?" -Aris

"Sonya will help you, she'll know what to do" -Harriet
