Chapter 21

The Einzbern mansion stood far in the depth of their family-owned forest. From an outsider's perspective, it is an imposing building with medieval aesthetics of late German architecture seemingly reserved for royalty. A piece of construct made by artisan, enhanced by Magus, and put to life by the late Justeaze.

Walls made of white limestone. Paint that withstood the test of time. Majestic and elegant. Just how her family has always portrayed themselves since the founding of their ancestor

A white haired Homunculus walked toward the castle front door, behind her trailed the ever stoic Berserker. 

As they neared, the two Einzbern servants before the door bowed in unison

"Lady Iliya, we have been expecting your return"

The first one, Lysritt, intoned emotionlessly. She allowed her grip on the axe sword to relax and stood at attention with one hand in a salute

"Has your endeavors yield fruit in the last few days?"

Sella, the other maid, asked cheerfully

Iliya smile at her two companions. While being Homunculus created to be emotionless dron, their acquaintanceship over the years has fostered a bond between these girls. They are fellow Einzberns, sisters, family

"I met some interesting people" Was her short reply "Lysritt, Sella. I wish to be alone for the day. Do not disturb me with trivial things" 

The Einzbern Master walked past the maids with puzzled eyes. She made way toward the mainroom of the castle. Her bedroom is just beside it. 

The first thing Iliya did was plopping on her bed the moment the door closed

"His name is Shinji Matou huh?"

She'd heard of the Matou family from grandfather. They were one of the first Three. Responsible for creating a medium for the starting material and Command Seal creation, the Magus family has been granted the privilage of a permanent spot in each Grail war

Information on them were few and between

They were the first casualty within the First and Second Grail war. In the third War, their Master disappeared under mysterious circumstances, while the Fourth war Matou went mad

That say, Iliya's impression of the boy named Shinji is quite favorable. 

Strong, charismatic, and handsome. He is honestly far from the parasite-ridden husk illustration the family head shown her. Perhaps Jubstacheit was mistaken?

She found him a very likable guy. The kind that stand at the door and greet you after a long day of hard work, then ask you if you'd like dinner, bath, or...

Well that would be asking too much anyway

"And I did invite him for a drink this Saturday at my place" The girl wrote down instructions to clean the castle and hand it to her Servant "Give Lysritt and Sella this"

Berserker nodded and disappeared, not unlike an assassin. For all his size and muscle power, the giant can be terrifyingly silent when he wasn't a screaming juggernaut

"And I need to find a way to contact Shirou"

Iliya works fast, quickly conjuring a pen and paper before writing a letter of introduction and put it in an enveloped stamped with the Einzbern mark. She'll put this in the mailbox later

Her ten days delay is sure to raise some curiosity in the eyes of her family. But the most they'll do is send a representative to Fuyuki, which she'll have to take care somehow
