Carla's POV:

Carla, consumed by conflicting emotions and suspicions, decided to take a day off from work, choosing to spend more time with Emmie. Determined to ensure Emmie's well-being, Carla had bought more diapers and diaper cream to care for her little one's needs.

As Carla cleaned up around the house, a subtle, flashing red light caught her attention. Doubting her own eyes, she followed the glimmer until she found a small hidden camera. A surge of anxiety gripped her as she realized the truth behind the mysterious surveillance.

Carla's heart raced as she picked up the USB device connected to the camera. A knot formed in her stomach, and with trembling hands, she plugged it into her laptop. The screen flickered to life, revealing a horrifying truth that shattered Carla's world.

The footage showed Kaylie, the person Carla had trusted to care for Emmie, inflicting pain and abuse on her little one. Tears welled up in Carla's eyes as she witnessed the torment her precious Emmie had endured.

Carla, with a mix of anger, sadness, and determination, decided to reach out to her mom, Channing, and Elena. As she shared the heartbreaking truth about the abuse Emmie had suffered at the hands of Kaylie, both Channing and Elena listened with a heavy heart.

Channing: (concerned) Carla, we've been trying to warn you. We need to take immediate action to ensure Emmie's safety.

Carla: (resolute) You were right, Mom. I can't believe I let her deceive me. I'm going to confront her tonight and put an end to this.

Channing: (cautious) Carla, be careful. If she senses any suspicion, she might act impulsively.

Carla, fueled by a newfound determination, hung up the phone and prepared to face Kaylie head-on. The confrontation would be both emotionally charged and perilous, but Carla couldn't allow Emmie to suffer any longer.

As night fell, Carla returned home to find Kaylie innocently preparing dinner. The weight of the hidden truth pressed heavily on Carla's shoulders as she steeled herself for the impending confrontation.

Carla: (serious) Kaylie, we need to talk.

Kaylie's eyes widened in shock, but before she could respond, Carla continued.

In a desperate move to escape justice, Kaylie stormed out of the house, leaving Carla bewildered and conflicted. Unbeknownst to Carla, Channing's warning echoed in her mind.

Channing: (voice in Carla's mind) She might storm out, but she'll be back. Be prepared.

As Carla anxiously waited for the police, time seemed to stretch endlessly. However, the anticipated confrontation took a dark turn when, later that night, Carla discovered the unthinkable.

The house was silent, and Emmie's absence sent a chilling wave of fear through Carla's heart. A hastily written note left on the kitchen counter confirmed Channing's ominous warning.

The note read: "You should have listened. Now, your little one is mine. Goodbye, Carla."

Carla, devastated and filled with regret, realized the consequences of her actions. The pursuit of justice had inadvertently led to Emmie's abduction by the very person she sought to expose
