"Sometimes our happiness is captured."

"Good night, Lucian," the disfigured being grinned as it knocked the young magician out, "Such a pity. I wonder what that pathetic girl will think when her lovely home burns once more," the figure spoke, staring intensely at the young man. The figure hummed as it slowly regained shape, taking the form of a young woman, her hair slowly turning into that of the color of mercury. A familiar face finally molding back. "Lady Aurélie, I have the objective. We must go," a hoarse voice spoke from the shadows. The woman smiled as the shadow emerged, an odd being with blades of water attached to its arms and possessing the form of a knight.

"Klingsor, I will follow. I'd like to cause a small...spark," Aurélie said, taking out a small match. Suddenly, An opening to the stars appeared behind them both. "I will head first then," the shadow said, walking into the opening, holding the young man over his shoulder.

A flame danced in her hand as Aurélie paced around the room, "Oh poor (Y/n), what on earth am I going to do with you." she said, taking the small box the magician was fixated on. "Burn bright. Let the stars engulf this wretched home!" she exclaimed, laughing as she dropped the match, lighting the room. She flicked her fingers and vanished into thin air.

"Brother?" Lynette called out after arriving back from her investigation. Her brother was nowhere to be found. "Lyney!" she called out once more. "Miss Lynette?" a recognizable voice called out, turning around. She was faced with you. "Miss (Y/n)," she answered, worry washing her words, "What's wrong?" you asked, rushing to her, "my brother... he was just here. He was supposed to wait here," Lynette said, pinching the skin at her throat. "Oh my stars..." your voice said, but... it was different, odd, and menacing. "Miss..(Y/n)?" Lynette looked at you, but it wasn't you, "I'll take you to your brother, do not worry, petite étoile. I'll take you to him," Her vision began to blur. She saw Mercury's hair shimmer in the moonlight before her vision became dark.

Soon, news spread around Fontaine that the beloved house of Ardennes burnt to the ground. "(Y/n)! (Y/n)! Where are you?!" Navia shouted as she ran to your office, seeing you seated on the floor of your office, a mess of papers flooding the floor. Navia walked closer to you, noticing tear stains on your cheeks. Kneeling, she shook you awake, "(Y/n)!" she called out. Your eyes jolted, suddenly sitting down straight, "What on earth?" you said, your voice hoarse. "(Y/n), the house of Ardennes! It burnt down!" she screamed. You stared at her with gaping eyes, "What on earth do you mean...? It burnt down years ago."
