It has been a few weeks since Maddie Nears "died", Arielle and Jace got closer, they were already close before but something had changed, really changed.
Jace's crush on Maddie had dwindled, his crush on Riele had developed more and more since they reunited the year before Maddie "died".
"I guess we should be trying to help Maddie figure out her death, huh?' Jace asked, as Arielle and him had been sitting alone in the school hallway while the others had been trying to help Maddie with the triggers, well as finding out triggers to engage her brain on how she "died".
Arielle nodded "Yeah, but wally is trying to make her eat and smell food, so can we wait?" She asked.
Jace nodded "Of course, why do you think I sat out here? I couldn't watch it happen... it must be harder for you" he said.
"What? Oh yeah..." Ari said as she gave a small, small smile as she looked ever so lovingly towards the boy.
"Jace... do you still like Maddie by any chance?' Ari just asking to see where his head is at "is that why you didn't want to watch?"
"No that's not why, uh...' jace chuckles "it's because I don't like smelling, seeing or attempting to eat food..." Jace said and a few minutes later...
Still avoiding the question of if he liked Maddie, he looked around before seeing Ari getting up. "I like you. I like you, Riele" Jace said Which, indeed left her stunned.
"You what?' Arielle asked, rather confused but hopeful.
" I like you, Riele' Jace repeated as he stands up. "You're... as cheesy as this...you're my home" Jace said
