Memory

Two magnets
No matter how much apart
We always found our way to each other
The laughs were shared
and so were the cries
But who knew it was about to end,
Because what followed were lies.
Everything felt like a dream
But then you decided to wake up
I was left in somnolence
My existence in a shake-up
You promised to be there for me
Through the thick and the thin
But when I reached out for your hand,
You took a step back
leaving me in the bin
You walked away like it was nothing
From what we had
Realising what we could've been
Still makes me sad
The heart didn't believed
what my mind already envisioned
That how could you be so apathetic
Leaving me alone imprisoned
And now I reminisce,
The memory of everything once again
It races through my mind
Everything feels the same
The heartbeat, the breath and the pain.
