A Wonderful Day

Oh what a wonderful day it was,
When we met first,
Happiness on it's crest,
Her eyes, her smile did the rest,
Because love was what followed next.

Oh what a wonderful day it was,
When she walked into my life like a gazelle,
Wrecking my solitude cell,
The scent of her hair had me drowning
In an endless well.

Oh what a wonderful day it was,
When her sweet voice caressed my ears,
After all the unheard screams and the tears,
Which had been clinging onto me for years,
Exit all the melancholy and all the fears.

Oh what a wonderful day it was,
When her hands fell on mine,
A feeling which was immensely divine,
My existence I could redefine,
As she was winter's first sunshine.

Oh what a wonderful day it would be,
When she will realise my love for her,
How much she has made my life better,
I wonder how to make her notice?
That she's the ink to the quill of this writer.
