Adam saw his daughter sleeping and smiled. He knows about Jasper worrying about Bella Swan. He was too. His grandson was growing and it won't be long till she has the baby which has Jasper excited for. Hearing Marla on the phone had him smiling. "Kayla, it's time...."
"I'm not going." She tells him. "I"m in too much pain.
Marla walked in. "Kayla, what's wrong?"
She shrugged as she couldn't tell what's wrong. Kayla knew it was from the baby. Adam grabbed his phone as he walked over to call Carlisle. "Carlisle, it's Adam." He says as Kayla started crying. "Kayla is in a lot of pain and I don't know if it's contractions or what."
"Okay. I'm on my way and Jasper is coming too."
"Thank you."

"The baby seems fine, but to be on the safe side, I would stay home and rest." Carlsile says as Jasper held her hand.
"Thank you." She tells him.
When they walked out of the room, Jasper looked at Kayla to see her sleeping causing him to walk to the bed and get in. He smiled as he held her. Closing his eyes to pretend to sleep made him feel more human.
