Deadline: #DevonLee is set to star in a horror adaptation of Barbie in the upcoming season of American Horror Story.

I have wanted to appear on American Horror Story since the second season was released but I was told that it would be bad for my image and that were only going for small actors. Watching how popular the show became made me even more anxious to appear on the series so it was a dream come true when Ryan Murphy offered me a role last year.

I lower my microphone after singing our haunting rendition of Barbie which will be the theme song for the series. Seeing the audiences' reaction only makes me smile as I stand there for a moment before taking a few steps back to join the cast of the series and Ryan Murphy for the press talk.
"Not a single person on this planet can tell me that I did not pick the perfect Barbie." Ryan Murphy states after the applause. "I have been trying to work with Devon Lee for years now so to finally make it happen is a dream come true."
"For both of us." I add while winking at him. "Some people think that I have done it all due since my twenties were pretty wild but working on this project was one of the toughest things to do. I had to break down who Devon Lee was to become this version of Barbie which is ultimately centered around perfection and being a go getter."
"What's one regret that you have?" The host of the press talk asks and I chuckle.
"That we did not do this sooner."
We get through the first round of interviews where the cast get to talk about their experiences of working with me but Emma Roberts chooses not to say anything since we fought quite a bit. She is used to being the lead actress of the AHS world when Sarah Paulson is not around so she did not enjoy playing my double on the series.
She would make remarks whenever I screwed up or had questions and I am not afraid of her so I would always bark back which surprised her.
"The irony is that I did not plan to have Devon sing on the show." Ryan says after our first break and I nod my head in confirmation. "I wanted to completely strip her identity down to build Barbie so utilising her real life talents was not something that I originally planned to do."
"I had to learn how to play certain instruments and 'gain' new talents for this series." I pull a face as I think back to the grueling time that I had learning how to play the saxophone since they wanted it to be authentic.
