Jisung sighed as he stared at his first assignment for the semester, it was something he enjoyed quite a lot actually: writing. He opened a separate document where he had written random poetry and random ideas. Whenever he opened it he either started to cry since most of them were about his troubles, or it was a bit pathetic, when he was younger being in angsty self was no problem, but now that he was in college he found himself cringing at every single thing he wrote and often wondered if he was fit to be a good writer.
The chair before him slid out, and his heart dropped for a moment thinking a stranger had come and sat before him,
But it was just Mark.
The chair beside him also slides open seeing Jeno. He shut his laptop as a container was placed before him, looking at the food he smiled appreciatively at Mark.
"You're the best thank you," he smiles, opening the lid right away, then beside the container Jeno places a drink.
"This is weird but thanks," he says, staring back at them now. He took a long sip of his drink before looking up, and seeing both Mark and Jeno staring at him.
"Something on my face?" He asks before stuffing a sushi roll into his mouth, smiling at the delight.
"No, it's just..."
Mark and Jeno share a glance before staring at him again.
"So... Donghyuck crashed Renjun's place while I and Jaemin were sleeping over... past midnight."
His sushi roll halted before his mouth, he placed it back down along with his chopsticks and crossed his arms.
"I didn't kick him out, he wore my clothes on my bed and then chose to leave," he explains.
"I believe you but don't you think you should give him a chance? It's been so long as he's trying every day," Mark explains as gently as he could, but they've had this conversation a few times already.
Every time they did his heart would become heavy with guilt and his eyes burned with tears he held back. How was he supposed to explain it to them? Just how much much he affect him?
A knock came at their study room, they looked up and saw Chenle and Donghyuck.
"Give it a chance, Sung. I promise you, it's worth it," Jeno adds before he stands up. Chenle who was about to waddle in alongside Donghyuck was dragged out with Jeno while Mark stayed seated.
"Hey, I came to study," he grins making Mark snort.
Jisung opened his laptop again, somehow motivated to do his work, losing focus of Mark and Donghyuck's boring conversation, he didn't even realize when Mark stood up and left.
He looked up and noticed he was also working on an assignment, with his laptop before him.
As the silence stretched goosebumps appeared on his skin and a feeling of discomfort settled which he was sure they both shared. In the silence, Haechan's stomach rumbles out loud.
He looks up and frowns, watching how the older freezes completely, head lowering in shame. He sighs and closes his laptop.
"What was the last meal you ate?" He asks, Donghyuck looks up, smiling sheepishly.
"Breakfast."
He pushes the food container towards him. "You should eat something, it's not good to be hungry."
Donghyuck frowned, staring at the food and contemplating.
"I'm actually on a diet, I'm trying not to eat carbs."
