Chapter 7 : Invited

(Y/N), after some time, finally got back to Ei with the stuff he needs. He came back wearing his small body bag, of course it has his wallet in it filled with the spare mora he has so he can take Ei somewhere as a date.

Ei: Oh, that was quick, do you got all the things you need?

(Y/N): Yep, all set! Ready to go?

Ei: Mhm!

Ei then grabbed (Y/N)'s hand, held it, and started dragging him to the front door of the palace. (Y/N) matched her pace, they were holding hands as they walk and (Y/N) couldn't help but blush a bit, he's now wondering if this was her way of making the first move. He was unsure so he just shrugged it off and tried to nevermind it. Meanwhile Ei, she actually planned to held his hand and it is her way to subtly do the first move.

She couldn't help but be flustered, she can't believe that she actually managed to held his hand. Ei then said to herself, making sure he wouldn't hear it.

Ei: I hope he gets it...

Oblivious to the whole situation, (Y/N) just followed her to the front door, still blushing. Both too flustered to even speak, they stayed silent as they walk together. Eventually, they got to the front door, when Ei was about to turn the knob, someone knocked on the door.

On the other side of the door

???: Ei, you there?

???: They're probably making out already~

???: Probably...

Ei then opened the door to see Ayato and Yae on the front door step.

(Y/N): Oh, hey dude!

Ayato: Hellooo!

Ei: Uhm, why are you guys here, Yae?

Yae: Oh, me and Ayato here are on a date and we figured that we'd stop by here to invite you guys and make it a double date~

Ei and (Y/N): But we're not even a couple y'know...

Ayato: Who said you guys need to be a couple to be on a date?

Yae: True, but we all know you guys will get together eventually~

Yae and Ayato then giggled to themselves.

Ei and (Y/N): SHUT UP!

Ayato: Then why are you guys holding hands?

Ayato pointed out their hands which were interlaced with each other. They quickly retract their hands and hid it behind their backs.

Ei and (Y/N): NO REASON!

Yae: Well, you guys sure are close already~

Ayato: Isn't it (Y/N)'s first day, love?

Yae: Mhm, yes, dear~ They're awfully close on his first day huh?

Ayato: Yeah...

Ei said in a irritated tone.

Ei: Let's just go to the double date already, come on, (Y/N)...

Ei then grabbed (Y/N)'s hand again and began to lead the group to the double date.

(Y/N): Ei, you don't even know where we're going yet.

Ei: Oh yeah, I forgot...

(Y/N): Ayato, where are we gonna go to?

Ayato: We planned to eat first, so we're going to that fancy restaurant at the center of the city. It should be nearby. Take the lead, Ei, you know the way.

The group then walked to the restaurant that Ayato mentioned, Yae and Ayato holding hands and so is Ei and (Y/N) while walking. Ei and (Y/N) could hear the subtle giggling from Yae and Ayato in the background.

Ei: Oh, by the way, are we just eating for the date or are we gonna do something else after?

Ayato: Yae planned to shop for a bit after we eat at the restaurant and then drink for a bit in a nearby bar. Don't worry, me and Yae got you guys covered since we invited you guys.

Ei turned her attention to (Y/N), she said in a sweet and almost concerned tone, as if that tone was special for him. Like lovers talking to each other.

Ei: Can you handle your alcohol well?

(Y/N) also responded in the same tone, the tone sounded like how couple would talk to each other. Low. Sweet. But do note though, they haven't even confessed to each other yet and they're acting like this already. It's like it's meant to be.

(Y/N): Oh, I drank before, I think I can handle it.

Yae and Ayato noticed how sweet they talk to each other.

Ayato said sarcasticly.

Ayato: Oh yeah, they definitely sound like they're NOT dating.

Yae then giggled.

Yae: Just let them confess on their own, love~

Ayato: It's just the tension between them, I could feel it a mile away, just seeing them be close like that even gives butterflies to my stomach.

Yae: Mhm, you're definitely right about that.

Eventually, after a bit more of walking, they got to the restaurant and occupied a table. Ei and (Y/N) sitting together and so does Yae and Ayato.

Ayato: So, what will be the orders, guys?

Ei: Oh! I'll have this one!

(Y/N): This one looks good, I'll have this one!

Yae: I'll take this one, dear~

Ayato then called the waiter and ordered for the group.

Ayato: We'll have one Chicken Alfredo, one Wagyu Steak, one Mizai, and one Ryugin. That would be all...
