It was just about 5 mins when Amaya entered like a storm. Rachita was shocked seeing her sister. She was transformed from a girl to lady in less than 24 hours. Wearing a saree. A mangalsutra. Sindoor. That glow which her face was showing and that smile. She was looking like a perfect newly-wedded bride. She was on her phone as she texted someone and asked for a marriage registration form. She got the same rude reply and she gasped. "How can you talk to a woman like that?", questioned Amaya and the man said, "Don't play this woman card here... I...", he stopped as he looked who came and stood behind her. Amaya turned around to find Mantu sternly looking at him with his hands tied in the back. His face was stern and calm.
"What were you saying Mukesh?", said Mantu as he raised an eyebrow. He authoritatively placed his hand on Amaya's shoulder as he said, "Call Sahil the manager. I'll myself ask for the form and even file a complaint against you for rudely talking to ladies." "No, no Mantu bhaiya. I'll bring you the form. Please don't tell this to sir, he will kick me out if he will get to know that I said these words to your... wife.", begged Mukesh. "It's not about my wife, it about all the woman and if you ever dared again to talk to anyone's wife then you know what will I do. Now leave.", said Mantu. And Mukesh ran.
Amaya looked at him as he smiled warmly. "What Amaya? Why are you staring at me!?", asked Mantu as he ran his hand in his hair nervously. "I did nothing. Sahil and the head knows me. I only installed the CCTV cameras and these computers, so he is afraid.", explained Mantu. Amaya nodded as she chuckled. "Okay here you go...", said Mantu as he kept his bike keys in the pocket. Amaya laughed as she held Mantu's arm. "I can't even imagine you be this mean." She said, laughing. Mantu looked at her with all seriousness and said, "Why!? Didn't you see me beating those goons for you. If he would have said something more stupid he would have got a punch or two.", said Mantu as Mukesh came with the form . Mantu gave a stern look at him again and he went inside, running. "Relax... Rela", said Amaya as she started laughing again.
Mantu rolled his eyes as he started filling the form. Amaya kept her head on his arm as she typed a message to Priya and laughed. "Still laughing at me, ehh!?", asked Mantu. "No, Priya is asking me that now that I am married I will wear a saree or not. So I said yes I will wear a saree. So she is saying that I will trip here and there and I have to be precautious that I don't fall in a gutter and shared this meme.", said Amaya and she showed him the phone. He looked at it and took her phone. "What are you doing? Mantu!", said Amaya. He typed in something and then gave it back to her. "No, Priya she will not wear a saree - Mantu!?", said Amaya as she read the message he typed. Mantu nodded.
"Why will I not wear a saree?", asked Amaya. "Because if I am not changing my routine, my lifestyle and my clothes. You should neither, just because you are getting married. You will wear whatever you want to wear. Just wearing sarees on special occasions probably. And I don't want any argument.", commanded Mantu and Amaya pouted. "Not even a puppy face Amaya. Think practically. It will make you happy for a day or two but might be a problem when it will turn to months or years. You have to go to job, to work, how will you manage so much? And this is not a two-day trip. Its for the lifetime and let the surroundings adapt to you and not you adapt to surroundings for a change.", said Mantu as he patted Amaya's face. Amaya nodded disheartened.
"And what about me thinking that I will buy 20 sarees.", questioned Amaya and Mantu laughed. "20 sarees?", exclaimed Mantu. "Mahadev.", said Mantu. Amaya laughed. "Fine 10. I will not agree less than that.", said Amaya as she crossed her hands against her chest. "You buy 20 sarees I don't have any problem but 5 in a month. And buy something else, like suits and all that stuff you wear regularly.", said Mantu. "Promise!!", said Amaya as she extended her hand. Mantu mouthed promise as he kept his hand on hers. Amaya smiled happily. "Signature madam.", said Mantu as he passed the form to Amaya as she too signed the form.
Rama, Rachita, Sneha and Rama's dad were witnessing everything. Rachita was happy finding her sister so happy with Mantu and how he protects her. Mantu held her hand and takes her to counter number 2. "Okay, You will get the certificate 2 weeks later and come with 2 witnesses who have valid goverment ID proofs.", said the other employee. Mantu nodded. "And you can go to counter number 3, there, to change her surname Amaya Mathur to Amaya Abhimanyu Shrivastava.", continued the employee. Amaya and Mantu both looked at each other. Before Amaya could react Mantu said, "We don't have any plans to change her surname. Thank you."
Amaya looked at him. "But every woman changes her surname.", said the employee confused. "Yes Mantu. I don't have any problem.", said Amaya. "But we don't want to. And Amaya you don't need to. I don't think you need to give up your Baba's name to prove me how strong our relationship is. I know how much your baba means to you.", said Mantu. "Its not because I need to, it's because I want to. I what to attach your name mine.", said Amaya softly. "But didn't you promise that first you want to clear your dad's name and then marry. And then give up on his name." "Yes... yes I did.", said Amaya. "Then its final we don't want to change her name. Thank you.", said Mantu as he greeted the officer and held her hand and went out from the exit gate. Sneha was stunned by Mantu's words. He was so caring and loving towards her daughter. Rachita was so proud of Mantu and Amaya. "You can fill the form.", said Mukesh to Rama and Rama nodded.
"Mantu....", said Amaya as Mantu sat on the bike. "Amaya you don't need to say anything. I know everything.", said Mantu. "I will try my best Mantu to get your name as soon as possible. I know my dad was framed and when I will prove that he was not wrong. That very day I will take up your name.", said Amaya as she held Mantu's hand. Mantu got down from the bike as he pulled her closer and corrected, "We." Amaya looked at him confused. "When we will prove that he was not wrong and he was framed. I never met your baba, Amaya but I know one thing if he raised such strong, independent and principled ladies. He must have been an amazing man. And trust me, we will together prove him right." Amaya was moved to tears as she hugged Mantu tightly.
