~~~~Taraji's Place~~~~
"wait so tell me what that girl did again?!" Taraji laughed as Jordan began telling her about some story from school again
"Okay ma, the girl had her wig on and it was lifting, everyone could see it... So one girl points it out and the wig girl gets angry. So they start going back and forth before the wig girl through a punch at the other, they start fighting, they are all on the floor and bam her wig falls off and she blad! Mind you she was going around all year telling everyone they were ugly and blad" He explained smiling as he pushed his plate away from himself
"Oh, wow, that is something!" she sipped her wine and laid back in her chair, her smile fading at the thought of the thing she said to Fantasia
"Ma, how was work, you look like you got something on your mind?" Jordan asked noticing how silent the room had gotten when Taraji stopped laughing
"Nothing baby, just thinking about somebody I ain't talked to in years, they're my new boss. But I ain't gonna let that mess this job up for me!" Taraji reasserted getting up grabbing both their plates   and taking them to the sink
"What's their name, maybe they got some kids that go to the fancy school you send me to."
"Fantasia Barrino, well Taylor really, she got two kids, one I think is around your age," Taraji answered as she leaned against the counter facing Jordan
"Barrino! There's some girl in my calculus class with that last name, maybe I'll talk to her tomorrow?" Jordan said before rushing out of the room and into his bedroom before Taraji could even abject
*Shit! Now he gonna try and date my boss's daughter* Taraji cursed under her breath as she turned around and began washing the dishes. Her apartment was small but large by New York standards, with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a half kitchen with just enough room for a small dining table plus a small living room. Although it was a full home or a mansion, she liked it. It was just enough for her and her son, and that was all that mattered.
*It's nice in here, but cramped you should have done better* A faint voice echoed behind her, she turned around and looked for who the voice was coming from but no one was there. *I thought you'd be living it up. I'm disappointed* the voice taunted. "Well, I don't understand why you would care?" She said back refusing to look again for the voice.
*It's nice in here, but you are so much better in every way than this place* The voice continued, Taraji scoffed and turned around, she was stunned to see Fantasia standing behind her, "See, this is why everything fell apart between us, you always have controlled my self-worth? You're shallow, and, everything you think is nice and preppy is the only thing you seem to like, Ken was just that, and when I wasn't you turned your back on me!" Taraji began at Fantasia until she was only inches away from her, chest to chest, eyes locked.
*Well...how can I fix things between us?* Fantasia said as Taraji looked dumbfounded by her response, "I-I wanted you so bad, and as your side there is no us anymore, you are married now, and we...we are two different people. So I don't know how you or I could fix it...fix whatever this is" Taraji said stepping back from Fantasia, her hands shaking by her sides as she did so
*Even if I did this?* Fantasia said before reaching out to Taraji and grabbing her face bringing it to her own, they kissed, Taraji's everything felt like mush. Fantasia pulled her closer and closer until she was gone...
