Ch. 38 Fed To The Wolves

Akame POV

I had gotten a good distance away from Bols, trying to catch him off guard with my speed. His weapon while durable and able to produce hot flames, still looks like it can be broken at an angle. Leone had come down to support me and Lubbock in this scenario. Lubbock was having trouble taking care of Wave with his armor, which seemed so similar to Incursio.

"Better keep your eye out! As trouble burns this whole place down!"

"Oh jeez! He wasn't kidding this fire is hard to put out!"

      Leone had to brush off some of the fire on her arms while I got some off of my shoulder.

"No matter what happens I will take my time roasting you to ashes......"

"How can you burn us if you can't catch us.....?"

"Then I suppose I'll have to burn down this whole canyon......Fire spreads........And when it catches you........Your flesh with turn to soot."

"Well come on big fella! I know you're gonna have to burn us! So do it!!!!"

"So be it....."

He pointed the flamethrower at us as me and Leone went in different directions to throw off Bols, mainly to see which one of us he would target first, I can't tell which way he's looking with his eyes because of the mask. His head turned right meaning he was going after Leone first. With his back towards me, I had the opportunity to get to him. He saw this coming and immediately turned around with the flamethrower pointed at me.
Leone had kicked him in the back before he had a chance to fire the weapon.

"You two are quick....I'll give you that......B-."

"INCURSIO!!!!"

"The hell?"

      From above, a giant shadow had covered the sun before dropping down hitting the dirt and making a crater in the ground. There he was, with Sayo on his back.

"(M/n).....Sayo.....You guys are ok."

"I had a little detour on my way here....But now that I am.....Let's get this party started shall we?"

(M/n) POV

"Aw crap....."

Wave had sped up and stood in front of me and Akame. Sayo got off of my back as me and Wave stared down.

"So you got out? What did you do to Seryu and Kurome????"

"Kurome's still alive and Seryu's out."

"So you killed her?"

"I didn't say that....I said she's out......"

"Out?"

"She's left the Jaegers......"

"She l-left????????"

"Yeah.....However, you're the one standing in my way right now.....So I'd suggest you stay out of my way.....I don't want to hurt you again......"

"Fat chance....I'm not backing down! So bring it!"

"If that's what you want........"

Though Wave had now been caught into a trap, many wires surrounding him, basically trapping him in a bubble made of razor-sharp metal wires.

"I'm still here! You should always watch out for your opponent."

"Damnit!"

"Thanks Lubbock!"
