"You could have gotten hurt!" Tomas growled.

"I wasn't going to let you die, Tomas!"

Sakura and Tomas had been arguing over each other since the battle at the pyramid. The violet-eyed beauty had seen her lover come close to being chopped down by his double. She had agreed to stay behind him, but she stepped in to force his double back. As she had stated, she wasn't going to let him die. She didn't care if he got angry with her and, plus, he knew what he was getting into when he started courting her.

"I told you to stay back and you didn't listen and..."

Tomas stopped. He remembered how his dark double had his hands all over his Cherry Blossom. He thought he was going to lose her to that monster. It made him angry enough that he cut his double's hands off. He refused to be a failure. Sakura's eyes softened and placed a small hand upon his face. She could see the storm of emotions in his gray eyes. It was one of the many things that she loved about him. He was so expressive.

"Quit torturing yourself. I'm here and I'm well."

The man didn't say a word. He leaned into her hand before kissing her palm. It was these private moments that he lived for. She was his reason for living. He knew he shouldn't have been angry with her but having her come so close to having her life ended terrified him. It was why he tortured that bastard before killing him. He silently promised that he would kill anyone if they laid their hands on his amethyst goddess.

Sakura brought him in and simply held him, breathing in and enjoying his scent. Tomas's heartbeat was wild, but it started to slow down as he relaxed. The tension in his body started to vanish and a deep sigh left him. His lips gingerly touched hers and just took every last kiss he could take before he went for her neck.

"Tomas," Sakura purred, tilting her head back.

This was more like it.

"Bed. Now."

As soon as he lifted her up, the young woman wrapped her legs about his waist.
