You stood in front of one of the many mirrors adjusting your dress a little. It was a beautiful gold colour, which cut off just above you chest exposing shoulders. The corset wrapped neatly around you giving you that desired womanly curve. The rest of the golden material flowed gently to you ankles parting in the centre revealing white frills laced with (favourite colour) ribbon. There was also a pice of (f/c) ribbon wrapped around your waste. Your hair had been put into sn elegant plate with another piece of ribbon woven into it. You looked and felt beautiful.
"My elegant Princes," a voice commented. You turned and smiled at Erik. He was wearing a golden suite to match your dress. He was also already wearing his mask, it was similar to his other one but golden.
"And my elegant prince," you said walking over to hug him. You smiled you enjoyed being with the phantom. While hugging him you felt something cold wrap round your neck. You looked to see what it was. The phantom had put a necklace on you. It was a chain with what appeared to be a ring on it.
"What's this?" You asked slightly confused. The phantom held a finger upto his lips.
"That's for later my sweet," he replied, "now shall we go?" You nodded slipping on some gloves which went all the way up to you elbows, then you put on a beautiful golden butterfly mask. Now you were ready to go. The phantom took your hand and escorted you to the door.
You thought about what you and the phantom were doing and why. It had been nearly a month since the phantom had shown you his face, admittedly at first you were shocked, but you weren't frightened. After all you knew this man. He was Erik, the man who taught you to sing and about the music of the night. So why should you be scared of him? You smiled reassuringly. The phantom, who had been looking at the flood through shame, lifted his head looking into your eyes.
"Don't you think I'm a monster?" He asked. You shook your head he smiled softly and placed a gentle kiss upon your lips. "Thank you," he spoke.
That had been so long ago yet it felt like only yesterday. Ever since that day the two of you had acted more like a couple, doing a lot more romantic things together. Though the two of you hadn't left the cave together to go on an actual date. That was until now. About a week ago you sat reading through sheet music memorising the lines the phantom had asked you to when all of a sudden he came home in a bit of a rush. Immediately you were worried.
"Erik what's wrong?" You asked but you got no reply from him. You worry increased and you went over to him. He removed his cloak throwing it at the chair and completely missing. He quickly grabbed a few scraps of paper and his quill, moving his hand frantically making notes. "Erik!" You yelled at him, he looked at you stunned. You hatted rasing your voice at him but how else were you going to get his attention? "What's wrong?" You asked again.
"Sorry (name) I didn't mean to worry you," he apologised. You picked up his cloak placing it in the correct place. "It's just your father," he continued, you shot a look at him.
"What happened?! Dose he know where we are?!" You asked, now you were beyond worried. You didn't want to think about what could happen to the phantom if they caught you.
"No, nothing like that," he assured you. You let out a sigh of relief and let the phantom continue. "Well the police have come to the conclusion that you...dead," he began. You scoffed at the thought, you were definitely anything beyond dead in fact you had never felt more alive.
"Well seeing as they all think your dead, your farther is hosting a masquerade party in your memory," he explained. You tilted your head to the side. It made sense for him to host a masquerade, you had always loved them when you were little. But that still didn't explain why he was telling you this now. "So I was thinking that maybe we should attend it?"
