After unlocking the door the two of you headed down the corridor in the opposite direction of Robin. You had no clue where you were going but having Eriks hand in yours as you led him through the twists and turns of the prisons labyrinth. Soon you found yourself at the bottom of some spiral staircase. You both seemed to agree without actually saying anything that you're only option was to go up.

Running up the stairs you found yourself clenching tighter to Eriks hand. The staircase led you all the way to the top of the prison. Quickly you ran to the edge and peaked over. You were definitely too high up to just jump down. Now what we're you going to do? Rain drops began to fall gently touching your skin. You turned to look back at Erik who was also looking over the edge.

"I think I may have found a way down," he spoke. You could feel your heart lift with hope and you quickly ran over to him trying carefully not to slip on the now wet floor. He proceeded to pick you up bridal style.

However this seemed to cause him pain and he had to immediately put you back down. You could hear footsteps getting ever so closer and you knew that if you didn't do something soon you'd be back to square one. Runng back over the the edge looking over at the escape root Erik had found. However once you placed your hand on the side and leant over the wall crumbled. You felt you body give into gravity as you fell. The world seemed to go in slow motion as a hand grabbed your arm just in time to save you. You looked up and of course saw that Erik was the one to save you. "Give me your other hand," he demanded to which you complied. Moving your arm you grabbed his hand only for him to 'wince' in pain. You eminently let go and he looked at with with a mixture of confusion and concer. "What are you doing (name)?" He asked.

"I don't want to hurt you," you responded in a shrill voice. Tears where beginning to form in your eyes as you knew this could be the end.

Suddenly you heard footsteps arriving on the roof and a somewhat familiar voice call out your name. More footsteps followed running towards you. Another hand grabbed your other arm and helped the phantom to pull you up.

Once you where safe you let out a shaky sigh of relief. A pair of arms wrapped around you embracing you in a hug. However these arms did not belong to Erik. "(Name) I'm so glad I made it in time. I dread to think about what could of happened to you," Robin babbled. Though you hatted this man you had to admit he did just save you life. Erik was in no condition to pull you up by himself and you would have surely fell to your death if not for him.

"I insist that you release her at once," the phantom commanded getting to his feet. Robin did the same letting you go. The rain had begun to fall down a lot heavier now. Almost like it was matching the mood in the events to come.

You could clearly see a smirk apon Robins face as he and the phantom glared each other down. "Once again I am face to face with the phantom of the opera only this time you don't seem quite as threatening," he mocked hinting to physical appearance of Erik.

"I'll have you know I lost one girl to a man like you and I don't plan on letting that happen again," he threatened. Robin laughed at him once again. Realising that you were in the way you got up and ran to the side of the entrance. Erik and Robin got into the starting stance.

"A fight to the death, " Robin began and the two men stared to passe round in a circle swords still pointed at each other, "you win, you go free with (name) but if I win...well you'll be rotting in hell where you belong," he spoke with a smirk.

Silence befell them as they continued to size each other up. Robin made the first move. Slashing down Erik managed to block. Many swipes and slashes where made and the two men fought in an elegant way that would almost look like they were dancing in time.

One paticularly slash from Robin left Erik unable to block and cut him one his upper right arm. The gash bleed into the dirty white shirt he was wearing and blood leaked down his arm. This however was met with retaliation. While Robin took time to gloat at his excellent swipe Erik took a swing of his own cutting open Robins hand. He screamed in pain and the two continued to battle with swords.

Unknowingly they had begun to edge ever closer to the crumbled side. However it was the phantom who was at risk as he step backwards unaware of the danger. Your heart was pounding as you watched the two of them and you did the only thing you could think of that would calm yourself. You sang. Quietly and softly at first you sang but slowly you got louder remembering everything that Erik had taught you. You voice seemed to reach the phantom and he instantly looked behind him. Seeing the danger that loomed ever so closer he decided to use it to his advantage. Once he was less than a step away he moved to the side causing Robin to stumble forward and fall off the edge. You closed you eyes trying to block out Robins screams as he fell to his death. Erik slowly walked over to you falling to his knees at your feet. You knelt down to examine his wound but he simply told you not to worry. Of course you didn't listen to him and tour off part of your dress to make a makeshift bandage. You smiled at him as he cupped your face in his hand placing a gentle kiss on your lips. "Let's go know, I think I may have found another way down," you spoke softly.

A few weeks later you and Erik where on the run once more. Eriks wound had healed and he was back to full health once more. His singing remained the same however, still as beautiful as the day you first heard it. Your singing had improved as well this was thanks to the phantom. Not only that but the two of you were once again engaged and who knows maybe even expecting a little bundle of joy. But that is another story.
