Lloyd's P.O.V.:

I left the monastery without telling my wife where I was going. This was something I needed to do alone. After a long drive through the desert, I arrived at Kryptarian and I walked up to that cell and there he was with his smug, unapologetic face. I faced him.

"What do you want?" Jett crossed his arms.

"I want you to feel remorse about what you put me and my family through." I said.

"Well, good luck with that." Jett laughed.

"I wouldn't be laughing if I were held in jail for a murder charge."

"Actually it's just attempted murder. With a good lawyer, I'll be out of here by the end of the month."

"I wouldn't count on that."

"Why?"

"Because my wife was pregnant when you shot her." I said. "My baby didn't make it. Such an innocent life that could've been for that baby, and you took it away from us."

"I... I didn't know." He frowned.

"Would it have made a difference if you did?"

"I... I don't know."

"My other kids are who knows where right now and the only reason I'm not bursting into that cell and beating you to a pulp is because Kira needs me right now, and I don't want to get thrown in with you. Just know this, I will take comfort in the fact that you will never leave that cell or go outside ever again. You deserve to stay in here and rot."

I took one last look at him and walked back to my car. I drove back home and picked up some donuts for me and Kira on the way so she wouldn't be too upset. As I entered, Kira was waiting for me on the couch. She already looked pretty upset.

"Hey honey. What's wrong?" I asked.

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you all over the place." Kira said.

"Sorry, I just went out to get breakfast." I said, showing the bag of donuts in my hand.

"Are you sure that's all? You've been gone for hours."

"I just had a bad moment and had to visit my mom's grave. Don't worry about it."

"Oh, sorry. I didn't know." Kira frowned. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I will be. Thank you."

I sat down with her and sat the bag on the table. I handed her a donut with strawberry frosting and sprinkles because that's her favorite. She sighed and sat it in front of her.

"What's wrong? Not hungry?" I asked.

"No, I'm just distracted." She sighed and handed me a letter.

The return address was the Ninjago City courthouse. I opened it and read what it said.

"This is about Jett's trial." I said.

"They're asking me to give a witness statement." Kira frowned.

"That's great, you can tell our story to the judge and they'll put him away for life."

"I don't know if I can." She frowned.

"Why not? He deserves to be locked away. After what he did to you, me, Kai, Liv, Olivia, Ben and CJ, and our baby."

"I know, but the thought of being in the same room as him again... I think it'll just bring up all the things I'm trying to forget about."

"I know it'll hard, but there's gonna be guards there and he'll be in handcuffs. They won't let him anywhere near you."

"That doesn't make me feel any better." She sighed. "I just have a bad feeling."
