Chapter 6: Dream

The Next Day

It's been a day since the outbreak. Last night, Atlanta was bombed by the military. There wasn't any news or any sign of the army out there assisting them. Lee, Carley, Ren and Clementine were in one room sleeping while Kenny, duck, Katjaa, Larry and Lilly were sleeping in separate rooms. Lee was lying on the floor while Clementine and Ren were sleeping on the bed together. Lee woke up from the chair and sat up thinking about his parents and brother.

Lee: Are they okay..? I didn't see them in the pharmacy..

Lee speaks softly so no one won't listen to what he saying until Carley notice Lee is awake so she went up to him

Carley: can't sleep?

Lee looked up at Carley

Lee: I was..

She kneel down and looked at Clementine and Ren sleeping

Carley: they are adorable

Lee: They sure are..

Carley then looked at Lee and asked

Carley: How did you meet them?

Lee: I was in an accident while leaving Atlanta, the police officer crashed into someone and the car flipped over and into the forest.. I had a busted knee so I got out of the car and tried to run to find somewhere to hide away from.. walkers I jumped over the fence and found Clementine. At first she didn't trust me but men had us hostages and Ren saved us

Carley: for a kid.. He sure is strong to carry that weapon

Lee: you sound impressed

Carley slightly blush: I guess I am, but what about this father?

Lee: He didn't say anything about his father.. So my theory was.. His father wasn't there for him

Carley: oh.. What about Clementine?

Lee looked at Clementine

Lee: Her parents are in Savannah.. I hope

Carley: if this mess isn't sorted out.. We have to take care of both of them

Lee looked at Carley confused

Lee: we?

Carley: yes Lee, I'm meaning both you and I take care of Ren and Clementine

Lee took a minute to think and then he said

Lee: When the time is right we can ask them and see what their answer will be..

Carley: ok thanks Lee

Lee: your welcome..-

They heard Ren scream and he got up. Carley and Lee got up and ran to him to see if he's alright. Clementine wake up and she was worried about Ren

Clementine: R-Ren! Are you okay?

Ren: y-yea.. sorry guys.. I just had a nightmare..

He slowly rub his neck and Carley asked curiously

Carley: What was the dream about?

Ren: walkers.. Everyone was walkers and I'm the only one human..

Lee: it's okay kiddo it's just a dream

Clementine hugs Ren and he hug back

Ren: yeah..

Three months later

It's been three months and there have been no calls from the military. Last month they reunited a teenager named Ben. Lilly chose herself as leader in the ground but the rest don't like that. Larry is still a male Karen with Lee and Ren with his problems. Now one month past, Lee and Kenny scavenged houses one by one because they running out of food and finding any army in the progress

Kenny: So how's Clementine and Ren doing?

Lee: their fine, just Ren been having nightmares for three months

Kenny: Surely it's rare to have nightmares for three months pal..

Lee: yea even Carley thinks so as well.. Since none of us isn't doctors we don't know what's going on in Ren's mind

Kenny: Do you think this situation is changing him and the facts about Andrea and Amy?

Lee: Probably so.. Yesterday when Larry was being racist towards me, I saw Ren was about to say something but Clementine hold his hand

Kenny: can't blame the kid, what Larry just did to both of you traumatised Ren I guess

Lee sign out of frustration

Lee: Yeah..

Kenny and Lee found a ambiance van on the side of the road, the scout around to see if anyone around and then he walked to the back of the van

Kenny: So have you made your decision yet?

Lee: About what?

Kenny: about us leaving to go to Savannah. I heard there have boats so maybe there is one can fit all of us except fuckin Larry

Lee: yea but Lilly has been nice to Ren after what happened, they seems close

Kenny: That's right! Lilly is fine at my book

Lee grabs a crowbar out of Kenny's backpack and tries to open up the back of the van and it opens up. They went inside and got some meds. Lee and Kenny put the remain meds and antibiotics in Kenny backpack and head back to the motel

Ren Pov

Ren was dreaming. He kept having the same dream these past three months. He saw a woman who was facing something. But he realised she's wearing a long white robe.. He slowly approach to her but a voice appear in Ren's mind

??: This world is cruel.. Humanity will suffer for what they did.. This place... Was where they experimented on people like me.. I was one month pregnant at the time.. Until I was saved by my brother and he stayed with me until I give birth

Ren: You kept saying that.. Over and over again.. I want to know what you mean.. Who are you talking about?

??: Lin Knight... the one who was the first infected..

Ren: the first infected..?

Suddenly he wakes up from his bed and he sits up: who is Lin Knight..?
