I enter the kitchen with Maritza following along "Why didn't you tell me you were listening to this gangster crap" I shout at her "first of all, it's gangster rap and second of all it's Young Jeezy" she says " I don't give a damn if it was Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Run DMC, 2 Live Crew, Timberland, Pitbull, or even Sean Paul I still don't approve rap music in my house with our daughters around don't you know the bad influence you're putting on them" I say, continuing yelling at her "look here, Maritza I'm a high school teacher and I don't approve gangster rap in my classroom so when a student plays gangster rap on their phone I immediately confiscate their phone from them "Ok, it's just Young Jeezy it's not like I have a lot of rappers in my phone" she gets defensive with me right back "Then what's this" I ask, holding up her phone "it's just music, it's not like it's putting an influence on our daughters" she says then it turns out it is "they'll listen to what they want"
