I was binge watching the Falls and I remembered something; I planned to make this story center Mabel's boy-chasing tendencies since they always felt comphet-coded, even before I learned "comphet" was a word. I know Mabel's boy chasing tendencies have nothing to do with queer experiences, but those behaviors still strongly resonate with many queer people, including me.
I'm also bored asf, so I might as well try this shit again. I'll keep the old chapters while continuing to publish updates in here.
Please remember I was in middle school or some shit when I wrote the original. Since I'm in now college, I have no interest in keeping the same plot as the original. I also am super uncomfortable with writing about romances between twelve-year olds unless I make the following as clear as possible: I am unwilling to write about anything explicit between the reader and Mabel. I am fine with writing about the two holding hands, hugging, and maybe kissing each other on the head.
