"Safe house is packed today."
John sits down, putting his arms out on the desk to rest his head on. As he sits there, he overhears some conversations about the usual student admin for the safe house.
"Remi and Blyke both aren't here today? And they didn't tell anyone? How unlike them!"
"Yeah, and Isen called in sick."
John opens his eyes, also taking note of the oddity.
"That's weird."
Walking in the hallway, John hears steps behind him, followed by a voice calling to him.
"John!"
Turning around, he finds a familiar punchable face, who looks anxious.
"Hm? Arlo? What is it?"
"I can't get a hold of Remi. She's probably with Blyke. Have you seen him at all?"
"Uh, now that you mention it... I don't remember him coming back to the room last night."
"What?"
Arlo's anxiousness turns to annoyance.
"How am I supposed to protect you from the Bureau... if you're already dead?!"
"Tsk! ... Damn it!"
Arlo swings around, walking away briskly, and John thinks of something before he leaves.
"Hey. Have you tried Isen?"
