ShangYu had a dream.

He was standing on asphate road, people hurried past him, it was like being in a black and white movie.

ShangYu was lost and bewildered, emptiness and pain surged his chest, with each step he was heavier.

At the far end of the street, a slender figure stood, the red string on their wrist was the only thing vibrant in this gray-scale world. ShangYu stared at them through the layers of people, his heart pounded against his ribcage, the thunderous beats resonating in his ears.

They were waiting for him, ShangYu knew they were waiting for him.

ShiWen...

ShiWen...

Wait for me, ShiWen...

All of a sudden, the crowd vanished, and the once bustling cityscape crumbled into fragments. The road beneath ShangYu's feet collapsed and sank, darkness consumed the world before his eyes. He was falling, he reached out towards the figure, he desperately wanted to call, but his throat was clogged with cotton. He wanted to voice the name that echoed in his mind. In the weightless descent, his heart felt like ash. Suddenly, a pair of pale hands reached out and grabbed him.

Frantically looking up, ShangYu was met with the face of ShiWen right before his eyes.

"ShiWen..."

ShangYu opened his eyes.

The hospital room was empty and desolate in the late hours of the night. The only sound that broke the silence was the steady beeping of the heart monitor by the bedside. ShiWen was beside him, his eyes closed, peacefully asleep. The soft moonlight enveloped the room, casting a gentle glow on the eyebags beneath the man's eye.

Pain pulsed through ShangYu's bandaged arm, memories of the past days slowly seeped back into his mind.

He proped himself up, carefully approached the sleeping figure, leaned down, and planted a gentle kiss on ShiWen's forehead.

"I've got you now."
