Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's day! Valentine's poem for you <3

Walking up and down a street,

Never gonna take a seat.

Can't stan the 'feeling' in the air,

It's this stupid day, I swear.

Wish I was anywhere but here,

This day is 'bout my only fear.

The lovers give each other tarts,

or chocolate in the shape of hearts.

I see him walking down a hall,

Yet he's not a prince, and its not a ball.

And although I'm trying my best,

can't stop the flutter in my chest.

I've got a letter in my hand,

it's the map and he's my land.

I don't think that I have the power,

to survive another hour.

I hate the way he makes me feel

I hate I used a heart shaped seal.

so I could tell him this vow...

but if I did i'd have to take a bow.

I wouldn't make it if he made me fall,

I'd jump off of something tall.

So I'll go throw it in the trash,

I'll put on my 'loser' sash.

I'll say goodbye to all my dreams,

I know they're tearing at the seams. 

Of all there is and all I want,

for all I'll never get to flaunt. 

I'll tell myself I'll be okay,

I'll say there was no other way.

I won't believe it, but I don't care,

I've sealed my fate...

fair and square.

Unless, I took it out the trash.

Trade it with my 'loser' sash.

I'll press a flower with it too,

hopefully I'll make it through.

I won't spend years asking  'what if?'

I won't grow old as lonely and stiff.

I'll take a chance,

I might advance

and if he'll smile

i'll win the trial.

Its always better to take a chance...
