LISA'S POV

I expected that the closeness and relationship I had with Jennie's parents had faded away when I was away for years or months. But I was wrong. They treated me like Jennie, and I never broke up. They greeted me with a pleasant atmosphere. This is nice. A festive mood would make me ask about the marriage easier.

"So, Lisa. How's your business going?" Jennie's mom was the first one to talk while we're taking our dinner.

"It's going well, aunt. I've been expanding it in other counties, and it's lining up in accordance with my plans." I happily responded.

"That's good to know. I've also read the news that you've been announced as the CEO of the Manoban Corporation. Congratulations, I've never thought that you would be my boss." Jennie's Dad chuckled before eating his food.

"Boss? So, you are working in Manoban Corporation uncle?" I asked him.

"Not in the main company, but one of its sectors. I work as the assistant director in RN Foundation." He smiled at me. So he changed his job. A few years back, he was working in a bank. It's a big leap for his career. In this case, we should keep our setup marriage from them. Even though he is Jennie's father, he's still an employee in my father's company.

"Wow. I guess I'll be seeing you when I visit the facility, uncle." I answered back and chuckled.

"You better be. But don't worry, the RN Foundation is thriving." He muttered.

"Anyway. Mom, Dad, remember the thing that I told you this morning?" Jennie interrupted and looked at them.

"That you and Lisa got back together? Yes, we know darling. You two wouldn't be kissing in front of our house if you are not together." Jennie's mom sniggered while slicing her steak.

"Mom, the last sentence was unnecessary." Jennie whined softly to her mom.

"Why are you being shy now? As if you were not doing it way back." Aunt teased and laughed.

"Mom!' Jennie groused on her. Yes, she is really being shy. I saw her right hand gripping her pants.

"Okay, okay. We're just happy that you both decided to continue your love story." Aunt's voice became sweet after teasing Jennie. Since we are already talking about us, I guess it's time for us to open the topic. I secretly held Jennie's hand, below the table, telling her that it's time to ask them.

"Uhm. Auntie, Uncle. I want to tell you something." I softly uttered and placed our entangled hands on top of the table for them to see it.

"What is it?" Jennie's Dad asked after glancing in our hands.

"I was kinda disappointed at myself way back because I didn't do this thing. I should've asked this before, and now that Jennie and I gave ourselves a second chance, I won't waste the opportunity again." I gripped my hand on Jennie's.

"Uncle, Aunt, I'd like to ask for your blessing. I want to settle down with Jennie. I want to continue our life together. I'd like to seek your permission to marry your daughter." I smiled after saying those, acting cool, but my heart races rapidly.

Jennie's parents looked at each other, they're surprised by it, and it could be seen throughout their faces. After a few minutes of drought, Jennie's mom nods at uncle.

"Well. We don't get to choose who Jennie wants to marry. We're rooting for her happiness. We're only here to support her decision. If Jennie wishes to marry you, you have our blessing. Just don't hurt her or make her cry. You don't want to see the other side of me if you do this." Jennie's Dad warned me, but there's a small smile plastered on his lips.
