Miguel came home from dropping your daughter off to kindergarten to see you curled up on the couch.

"Baby? Are you okay?" He asked as you began to cry, he rushed to you and kneeled down, wiping away your tears.

"Hey, sweetheart. What's wrong?" He asked running his hand down the side of your body.

"I'm a terrible mother." You whispered making Miguel look at you sadly.

"Why do you say that, love?" He asked as you continued to sob.

"Sometimes... Sometimes I wish I never had her." You whispered, sobbing even more as those words left your mouth.

"Oh, darling. You're not a horrible mother for thinking that. Sweetheart, everything changes, so much more than you realise. Your entire life suddenly revolved around someone else and you haven't had a moment to yourself. You went through terrible postpartum depression and mood swings, Ava has had a few medical issues and our life changed drastically. Baby, you don't wish she was gone you just sometimes wish you could go back to your old life." Miguel said as you nodded and continued to cry.

He helped you to sit up and sat beside you, letting you lean into him.

He could always explain exactly what you were feeling.

"What if I'm too hard on her and she hates me one day? Or what if I say something mean and then she holds it against me or..." You tried to continue but couldn't manage it.

Miguel cuddled you into his side more and played with your hair.

"Love, she won't ever hate you. You are such a wonderful mother, and I think all of this is built up emotions you haven't been able to let go of because you've been so busy. How about we spend today doing nothing? Just whatever you feel up to." He said as you shook your head.

"I have to work from home today." You muttered as Miguel grabbed his phone and texted your boss.

Thankfully your boss was a good friend of the both of you.

"There, Marge already texted back and said it's no problem you can have a paid day off." He said as you chuckled softly.

"You make everything seem so easy." You whispered as he smiled and kissed your forehead again.

"That's my job." He replied as you began to calm down.

"I love her so much... Sometimes it just gets a lot for me. I guess because I work from home mainly I don't get out much." You admitted as Miguel nodded and listened.

"Maybe we should try and sync up our lunch breaks and that way we can meet for lunch everyday." He said as you began to cry again.

"That's such a good idea!" You cried out making him chuckle softly.

"Oh, sweetheart. It's okay. Now I'm not blaming your emotions on this but are you perhaps near your period?" He asked as you kept crying and nodded.

"You know me so well." You replied making Miguel smile.

"Just it all out, darling. You wanna watch news bloopers? Will that cheer you up?" He asked as you nodded making him laugh softly.

"Okay, baby. You got it."
