There was something about his hands that made me feel calm, whenever I couldn't sleep I would just lay there tracing my finger over one of his palms.

I couldn't really explain it, but there was something so calming about him.

I suppose it was because I felt so safe with him, whenever I was with him it was just us two and that was all that mattered.

My life had never been easy, if I was being honest it had been painful, but now with him, living with him it felt like I was living in a cheesy black and white romance film.

But, that was exactly what I wanted.

A simple life with a man I loved more than anything.

"What's on your mind, love?" I heard Miguel ask as I looked up to see him looking up from his computer.

I smiled softly and slowly walked over to him and wrapped his arms around his neck.

"Just thinking about us." I muttered as he closed his laptop and looked at me.

"What about us?" He asked as I pulled his chair out so I could sit on his lap.

"Just how much I love you..." I whispered as I leant in and kissed him softly.

He chuckled and held my hips so I wouldn't fall back.

"Well, I've been thinking lately. What if we got married?" He asked as I looked at him in shock.

"I thought you never wanted to get married?" I asked as he chuckled a little.

"I really didn't, I grew up around crappy relationships and thought marriage was doomed to fail. But, living with you and spending my life with you, I understand it. I love you more than I thought I ever could love anyone and I want to celebrate that and calling you my wife makes me excited." He said as I looked down at him and smiled.

I felt tears in my eyes as I smiled and leant in and kissed him again.

"I would love that... As long as we have the most untraditional wedding and I am definitely not wearing white, our wedding will be like the met gala and I will beads making people dress like it's a goddamn coronation." I replied making him laugh and shake his head.

"I wouldn't give you any less, Y/N."
