it's march 18th. two days before yuji's birthday and you wanted to do something for him, yet you didn't know what.

you were stuck in your room with nobara the day after the sleepover, megumi and yuji already went back to their dorms,

"ughh, i dunno what to do nobara!" you groaned, placing your hands over your eyes in fustration,

"why don't you take him out on a date?" she offered,

"i was thinking about that, but if he says no, it'll make things awkward! and i don't wanna ruin his birthday!!"

"y/n are you serious. he obviously likes you!! stop being dumb!" nobara slapped the back of your head,

"okay okay! so say i do take him out for a date on his birthday. where the fuck do i take him??"

"there's so many options! you know itadori better than me!"

"yeah.. but i just don't wanna screw things up, you know?" you sighed, "maybe i could take him out for dinner? so that way he can spend time with the whole group during the day as well,"

"yes! good idea! we can plan something in the afternoon.. like we can go to the beach, or for a picnic," nobara suggested,

"yeah, a picnic sounds good. and then i'll make a reservation to this fancy restaurant i know in the city. maybe for about 6pm?"

"sounds like a plan. i'll let fushiguro know! we have to get a cake too! oh my god, y/n we have to go shopping for itadori!!" nobara gasped,

"yeah, you're just saying that so i'll go to the mall with you to buy clothes.."

the brunette simply chuckled mischievously and walked out the dorm, leaving you with your thoughts.

'fuckk, what do i get yuji??'

after some brainstorming, you had went shopping and got a a small photo book. you put all the pictures you had with yuji in there, including some group pictures.

there were pictures from when you had only first met yuji, pictures from when he used to cook for you, pictures from when you dyed his hair plus more.

it was so nostalgic looking back at them, even though they weren't so long ago. you were glad you got so close to him.

once you finished the photo book off, you wrapped it up and put it in a bag, along with a card and some pink tissue paper.

someone had then knocked on your door,

"i'm coming in!!" it was yuji..

you quickly ran to your bedroom shoved the gift in the cupboard before running back out,

"yuji, what's up?" you slightly panted,

"nothing, just thought i'd come around for a visit!" he grinned,

"you were literally here yesterday.. and day before," you deadpanned,

"so!!! i enjoy spending time with you! is that so bad?!" he grumbled dramatically,

"while that's nice, i have somewhere to be, so you are going to have to leave soon,"

"whatt!! where are you going?"

"shopping," you lied through your teeth.

you knew you weren't going anywhere. you just had to stay away from him for a bit because you knew you would begin to get nervous.

just the thought of you asking him on a date made you wanna throw up.. so you couldn't face him right now,

"can i come?"

"uhh, not today!" you blurted out quickly,

"whyyyy" he whined,

"maybe another day, yuji. i just don't have very much energy right now," you sighed quickly, "i'm sorry,"

yuji walked up towards you and gave you a hug??

"you should have just said so! i'll leave you alone then," he smiled, walking out of your dorm, "text me when you're ready to hang out!" he called from outside,

"alright yuji," you smiled at his consideration. it was very sweet that he would be willing to leave you alone despite how clingy he's been getting.

now that he was gone, you finally had more time to think about how you were gonna ask him, and continue planning his picnic birthday.

after making preparations with both nobara and megumi, you decided that you would all take him to this nice field for a picnic. megumi would grab a cake and nobara is going to decorate the area, while you blindfolded and brought yuji to the area.

after the picnic, you were going to ask him out to dinner. the plan seemed simple enough, yet you were so scared something was going to go wrong,

'what if he says no? that'll just make everything so awkward and he's never gonna look at me the same! arghhh!'

your thoughts ran rampant, but the best solution to calm yourself down in your eyes, was to go to sleep.
