both you and megumi busted into the domain. there was an octopus guy there which you rightfully assumed was the enemy in this situation,

'i'm so smart'

"how dare you infiltrate my domain," the octopus muttered, "how foolish of you!"

he then sent shikigami our way as maki went and struck him with her weapon. you quickly used your katana to slice the shikigami so megumi could try hold up his domain for as long as possible. your main job at that moment was protecting him.

he then sent two more much bigger shikigami towards the two of you. you were able to slice one of them up before it got to you, but you weren't sure if you would be able to get the other in time. you simple stood in front of megumi protectively, sword up waiting for it to come for you.

before it could, nanami came to save the day, slicing the other one in half,

"the other two?" nanami asked, referring to yuji and ino,

"ino-san tapped out," megumi breathed out, looking at you,

"yuji is acting on his own," you sighed. nanami nodded,

"y/n and i will protect you. please just focus on your domain,"

megumi nodded and put on a face of concentration. you looked at nanami and noticed how beat up he was. you mentioned it, asking if he was okay, to which he just said that it had been a long day,

'fair enough... i love a good fight but i just want this to be over...'

you saw naobito and maki striking the octopus, preventing it from creating more shikigami.

both you and nanami just stood there waiting for an attack until megumi spoke, explaining his goals with his domain,

"my goal is it open a small hole in the barrier of this domain. one big enough to escape out of. the hole i made to get y/n and entered through is already sealed," he explained.

both you and nanami nodded to show your understanding,

"i can feel the edge of his domain underneath my feet.. i'm ready to go at anytime. all of you just need to jump in at once," he grinned. nanami paused for a moment,

"i don't want to hear any of this leaving yourself behind thing, alright?" nanami spoke sternly. megumi just chuckled,

"i'm risking my life here. but i don't intend on throwing it away," you both nodded.

nanami called out for naobito and maki to come gather round where megumi was about to break a hole in the barrier.

they jumped to megumi's feet as the hole opened, but instead of it being clear for you all to jump out, there was someone coming in,

'the same guy from before?!?' your eyes widened, 'that fucker. i'll be sure to end him this time.'

you watched as 'toji zenin' came through the barrier. he was just in the air a second ago, but now he was down on the water, taking maki's weapon from her.

you all just stood there as he walked between all of you. he didn't seem to have any intention of hurting anyone.

"toji-kun.." he muttered quietly,

"he was a very powerful sorcerer back in the day. this was actually when gojo was in high school. there was an incident where toji was coming after the star plasma vessel for a bounty, but gojo ended up killing him. he's supposed to be dead,"
