"Who the fuck are you?" I grit even as my head heaves in pain

"Who the fuck are you?" I grit even as my head heaves in pain. My finger tightens on the trigger as she stands up but I pause taking a good look at her. She wore a flowing white dress that fell to her ankles where gold heels are strapped on. Her blonde hair is pin straight and short barely making it to her shoulders.

Alexei's wife.

"I think you just figured out who I am.'' Her voice is soft and her manner poised as she slowly turns to look at me. Her face is clean just like the rest of her without a single imperfection. She gives me a gentle smile yet my gun doesn't falter. I'd fallen for what seemed to be good and been burned.

"You really are beautiful." She begins to move closer and I take a step back glaring at her.

"Stay back or you'll end up the same as your husband. Hint he ain't alive anymore.'' I threaten but I'm taken back when she quietly laughs. Though she stays in place raising her hands in surrender.

"I assumed." She pauses. "They aren't here, you know."

"You're lying. I know you've kept Dominic hidden somewhere here. I will fucking blow your head off if you dont tell me where he us, Mrs.Petrov." I scoff but all she does is shake her head, the smile on her face not moving.

"Mrs.Rogers Petrov. As in Christina Rogers Petrov." Recognition dawns over me as I stare my eyes going wide.

I loved her

I don't think I ever could stop

I love you, Chris. Don't leave me again.

Chris. Christina. Christina Rogers.

"The Christina?'' I ask and she nods. "Not possible. She's dead."

"You of all people should understand how easy it is to get kidnapped and have people believe what they want to believe." She makes her way to the window staring outside solemnly. "When I was 13, I was on my way home. I had taken a taxi from the library that day deciding not to bother Isla then I already was by living with her as a guardian since my mom died. That had been one of the best and worst decisions of my life. Alexei took me then already having decided that I would be his wife."

My gun slowly lowers and she looks back at me with a sad smile. "You must understand what it's like to be so young and already been chosen as a wife. To be a monster's child bride."

"Yeah." I swallow hard at the reminder of Nicholas that brings bile to my throat.

"My experience was slightly different from yours in the sense that it wasn't as rough. I didn't want to cooperate at first so I was beaten a bit. But when I gave Alexei my word he began treating me like a true wife. I was only ever hit if I did something wrong. Otherwise I was rewarded and showered with gifts. Overtime i figured out what was right and wrong to his standard and kept it that way."

I don't know when but I had slowly moved myself closer to her. She stood just a few feet away from me as she slowly turned to me. "I'll continue my story if you let me get you fixed up." She points towards my arm. She must see the hesitation on my face as she adds. "I'm used to doing this. First with Dominic and Marco. But now with Alexei. I don't need you bleeding out before I can finish telling you what happened."
