Chapter 19: We Got Company

I stepped aside and revealed the man, the myth, the legend himself, Yagura Karatachi, the Yondaime Mizukage.

Almost as soon as I did, Zabuza came charging forward with his blade Kubikiribocho. I sighed as I caught the blade between my fingers. "What are you doing, Momochi Zabuza?" I growled with my eyes glowing brightly. Zabuza's eyes widened as he leaped back and bowed to me before he glared at Yagura, "My apologies, Lord Naruto. But why is he here?" He asked.

I glared at Zabuza, "Before you go judging him too harshly, he was literally under the control of someone's genjutsu. It's why he was acting so 'strange' to begin with." I announced, causing everyone else to widen their eyes as they looked over at Yagura. I glanced over at Kakashi briefly, who looked at me slightly confused, before I returned my gaze back to Zabuza. "That's no excuse, of course. I understand that much. But he also had no control over the actions he took. So to rectify that, he's coming along with us." I dropped.

Yagura sighed as my best friends screamed, "HAHHHHHHHH?!"

I rubbed the back of my head, "Yagura-sama here used to be a jinchuriki like me until it was forcibly ripped out of him, likely so I couldn't get my hands on it. However they did it, he survived the process but... not for long." I said.

Kakashi immediately put the pieces together, "In other words, you're bringing him along with us in hopes that your final transfusion, which is supposed to awaken the Sage's brother's full power, will give you something to allow you to completely heal Yondaime-sama."

I nodded. "I might possess the resources yet to fully heal him, since I can only do so much right now, but with the power of the Tenseigan and Hamura's full power, I might just be able to heal the effects completely. He himself wants to correct his wrongs himself, so forcing him to live with it and fix the issues he caused, even if under control, would certainly help Kirigakure and us as well." I affirmed.

Yagura blinked, "Wait, wait. Hold up, the Sage? Which Sage? And who's Hamura?"

I glanced back at Yagura and sighed, "I'll explain on our way back to Konoha, Yondaime-sama." I said. I turned back to Zabuza, who was watching the situation, sigh as he crossed his arms.

"I'll be holding you accountable for Haku's parents, Yagura-san." He said with hatred.

Yagura nodded slowly in understanding. I patted him on the back and smiled as I mouthed, "Give him some time. I'll be sure to help you."

I looked over at Inari, Tsunami, and Tazuna. I walked up to Inari and crouched down as I gave him a hug, "Be safe, kiddo. Remember what I taught you, alright? You gotta be the hero now that I won't be here anymore, ok?" I said as I pulled away from the boy as he looked me in the eyes, tears forming but he held a determined look with his arms shaking by his side.

I reached into a side pocket and pulled out a few scrolls and placed them in his hands. "I've written down the training regimens for chakra control, to increase your chakra reserves, taijutsu, kenjutsu, and ninjutsu in them. There's a list of basic ninjutsu and their elements as well since HURK-"

Inari tackled me into a hug, holding tightly onto me as his shoulders shook, but no tears fell. I chuckled and returned the embrace as I rubbed his back gently. "Hey now, we can't have our hero being some softy, alright?" I said as I pulled him back again and shook him, rattling him and getting his focus on my words. "Just keep pushing yourself and doing your best out there, you hear? Only through hard work and drive will you achieve your dreams." I said as I ruffled his hair and handed him the scrolls before I stood up.

I then turned to Tsunami, who gave me a bone crushing hug, sandwiching my head between her breasts. I probably would've enjoyed the feeling if I wasn't being given the coldest glare on the planet from Hinata who watched me like a vulture while Sasuke laughed at my predicament.
