i stared down at the grape fanta which eunmi threw back at me.

but i liked you for a very long time too, eun.

i sighed & left the arts room.

"do you know where cherie is?" i asked the group of students who's in eunmi & cherie's class.

they shook their heads, except for one girl.

"i saw her earlier going up to the rooftop.." she said.

i nodded and thanked her before making my way up to the rooftop.

i saw the door slightly opened so i sighed in relief. she might be in here.

i entered the rooftop and saw cherie's familiar figure, looking down at the field.

i cleared my throat, so she would be aware of my presence.

she flinched and turned around, wide-eyed.

"well.. i-i'm sorry." i sheepishly smiled at her.

"for what?" she tilted her head, showing a not-so-sincere smile.

"i had hurt you by my words earlier.. maybe you read what i sent to eun.." i said.

she stayed still. her fists are tightly clenched as she looked down on her shoes.

"eunmi told you to apologize to me, right?" she finally spoke.

"y-yeah, but i meant my apology. i just.. don't like you that way."

she slowly looked up to me with glossy eyes.

"i already knew that from the start.. but it still hurts." her voice died down.

"when i laid my eyes on you when i transferred here last year, i fell in love.. i didn't know you liked eunmi that time when she befriended me." she said.

"i just knew you liked her when i overheard you talking with your friends. to be honest, i tried staying away from eunmi because of that but she still kept on approaching me." she bit her lower lip.

"so i stayed by her side. i always thought that she was so cool and i often wondered.." she buried her face in her palms.

"why would she like to befriend a loser like me?"
