Sumire's POV: ( flashback

I jumped up from my seat in a split second and, kneeling down, turned him with difficulty onto his back. He was shaking, apparently this is his body's reaction to losing a lot of blood, which had spilled onto a large part of the floor. I was literally kneeling in a pool of his blood. I started shaking him gently, because from what I noticed he was still maintaining eye contact - so he was conscious, but he slowly lost consciousness. Eida knelt next to him from the other side, placing her hand on his cheek and repeating his name. She was as panicked as I was, but I quickly came to my senses and pulled myself together. It didn't look good. His wound was deep and bleeding heavily, which means he had to cut an artery and several veins. I started looking around for something that could be used as a tourniquet - but with my luck, of course there was nothing like that anywhere. Well, there have been worse situations.

- Eida-san, we need to take off his jacket and wrap the wound with a clean piece of cloth - preferably a bandage. Can you help me do this?

The best way to get someone's attention is to give them a task or question. It worked as always, without a moment's hesitation Eida helped me lift Kawaki to a sitting-lying position and we carefully took off his jacket. Long sleeves are not a problem as long as they are not too long. Then we put him back on the floor.

- Go get the first aid kit from the kitchen, it's in the cupboard behind the door. There are gauze and bandages there. I'll stay with him.

- Of course.

I got up and went quickly to the kitchen. I wonder if she suddenly forgot what happened just now? About how she choked me? Or how she told me to explain... it doesn't matter now. I took the first aid kit from the cabinet and ran to the living room where Mitsuki and another shinobi appeared out of nowhere. They protect our house, and Eida probably contacted them using the Mind Body Transmission Technique. They were both scared, but even that wouldn't stop me from working. It happens in the laboratory that people come with very serious injuries, which we treat using modern treatment techniques with our ninja equipment - which I did not have at hand. However, I have something better, more effective, but very expensive - medical ninjutsu

- Okay everyone, don't panic - I said, kneeling down and placing the first aid kit next to me - please move away.

- Are you kidding me, Kakei?

- Eida-san, it isn't time for this. Kawaki needs my help.

She just smirked, getting a few steps away. I took some sterile gauze and bandages out of the box and placed them on the lid. I gently blotted the blood from the worst place with a clean tissue, and then very carefully placed my hands on his, healing the wound with medical ninjutsu. I'm not very good at it yet, but with increased chakra flow and more concentration, I was able to initially heal his arm. It went off without a hitch. Then I grabbed a bandage and wrapped it around the limb, immobilizing it. During this process, Kawaki seemed to begin to regain consciousness because he moved his head several times and muttered something under his breath. It wasn't in the best condition. Why did he do this for me? Why did he defend me? He didn't have to go that far...what an idiot. I literally wanted to cry as I tied a bow with the remains of the bandage. It hurt him, a lot. How could it not fly? He literally cut my arm almost to the bone just to show Eida that I wasn't guilty. I was surprised that he took my side at all, although after all this... you know... the exchanges of glances, gentle smiles... kisses... maybe he really cares about me? Who knows, he might as well be doing it for show because he hates Eida - but is it true? I don't know. But I know one thing, Kawaki protected me

Suddenly Kawaki started shaking again, looking like he was in a lot of pain. What happened?! I did something wrong?! Or maybe the wound still hurts?! Eida, Mitsuki and the unknown shinobi immediately noticed that something was wrong. They sat around him and me and started to panic a little. Kawaki was breathing heavily, mumbling some words. He turned pale and broke into a cold sweat. At that moment I also went crazy. What's with him? Eida immediately placed his head on her lap, stroking his black hair and brushing it away from his face. It was really bad.
