Elizabeth got the dinner ready and put the plates on the table. Matt will be returning soon from work. She made Fettuccine Alfredo and a Caesar salad. She poured wine in two glasses. She could barely contain her excitement about the work transfer. The door opened and Matt walked into the apartment they share.

"Hey, babe." Elizabeth walked to Matt and hugged him.

"Hey, Liz." Matt wrapped his arms around her waist. He sounded and looked exhausted. He gave her a peck on the cheek. He loosened his tie and threw his briefcase on the couch.

"I made dinner. It's your favorite." Elizabeth tried to lift up his mood.

"Thanks." Matt smiled at Elizabeth and sat down on the chair. She sat down across from him.

"So, how was your day?" She asked while taking a sip from her wine.

"It was horrible. New assistants need to be hired. The meetings with our clients were so unorganized. We had the wrong papers for every meeting. We looked like fools. It was so embarrassing. I don't know what David was thinking when he hired the assistants."

"It sounds like it was a rough day." Elizabeth sympathized with Matt's frustration. "Tomorrow is a new day. It will be better."

"It's a law firm, Liz. It's always going to be messy." Matt remarked.

Matt put his fork down. "Are you serious? The salary I get paid at the law firm provides so much income that I could take an entire month off and not worry if I will have enough money remaining to pay all the bills."

"Well, I'm happy with my job. I've always liked books. I read so many of them throughout the years and writers need help in promoting their books. I enjoy helping them achieve their literary dreams. When I was little I also dreamed of one day writing a book. For now I'm still waiting for that special idea which will inspire me."
