Saylor and Juliette sat at the kitchen table that night, enjoying their dinner in silence.

Juliette had a conversation with the mother, which ended in a screaming match over the phone, because the former had finally lost it when her mom told her they wouldn't be home for another 6 months.

So, she sat there, lips curled into a frown, eyes slightly red from crying and giving off 'leave me alone' energy, so Saylor did just that.

Besides, she herself was still sunken into her thoughts about the reoccurring nightmares. The 16 year old just couldn't understand why they popped up like that when she purposefully blocked all the memories from the redroom from her brain.

She was worried, if she was honest. Was it a sign that her powers weren't working correctly? And if it was, what triggered it?

Just when she was about begin to spiral, the beeping of her phone ripped her out of her thoughts. Saylor looked up and stopped pushing the loose kernels of corn around her plate.
