"The Train to Hogwarts leaves at 11! I don't have much time mum, just drop me at the King's cross Station," Hermione says, packing her things inside of a large suitcase.

She looks at her wand and smiles,

"It's been a long while since I've got to use you," she says, before putting it back inside of her case.

She pets her cat, Crookshanks, who meows at her disapprovingly.

"Oh do cheer up Crookshanks. It's going to be a good year! I've prepared a year and more at home for this. You of all people should understand," Hermione says, picking the cat up and hugging him fondly.

"Okay, are we set?" Hermione asks to herself, looking at the mirror, arms on her hips.

"Hermione!" Her mum calls her from downstairs.

"Coming mum!" Hermione says, before finally going downstairs to leave for the Station.

"What took you so long Hermione? But hey, atleast you look very sweet. My precious darling, now get in the car." Her mum says, as Hermione loads in all her big, and not to mention, Heavy stuff into the back of the car.

"Packing all this stuff was definitely harder than I thought it was going to be," Hermione groans, as she sits shotgun, beside her mum, holding Crookshanks.

Hermione's mum nods understandingly, and starts the engine. And off they go, towards the Kings Cross Station. All sorts of things run inside Hermione's mind. Nervousness, a rush of excitement, and terrifying thoughts.

She'll get to meet her friends, who she hasn't seen for almost 2 years! They would've grown up so much. Could the boys' voices have changed? Would they be surprised to see her?

All the thoughts vanish as her mum stops outside the station.

"Well, this is it. Good luck dear," Hermione's mum calls out to her, as Hermione takes her luggage and puts it outside. She smiles at her mum, holding Crookshanks in her arms.

"I'll miss you mum, but I can already feel it, it's going to be a great year,"

Hermione's mum blows her a flying kiss.

"Write to us if you need anything." She says, stroking her cheek.

"Ahh my baby has grown up," she chuckles.

"Mum!!" Hermione says, clearly embarassed. But she gives her mum a quick peck on her cheek and her mum drives away.

Hermione sighs and enters the Kings Cross Station. There she sees the pillar between platform nine and ten.

"Sharp 11 o' clock," she mutters to herself, as she looks at the time.

The guard comes to her.

"Hello miss, have you lost your way? Are you confused as to which platform you should go to?" He asks her. He looks confused to find a cat in her arms.

"Um..no, I'm...I'm waiting for a friend. Thanks very much even so." Hermione says to him, as he nods and walks away.

Phew. Close call.

Hermione checks to her left and right, to see if anyone is looking at her. When she at last is sure of no leering eyes, she pushes her luggage, Crookshanks on top of it, and runs at full speed towards the pillar between platform 9 and 10. She closes her eyes, hoping not to crash into the pillar.

But no. The portal is still open, and she has finally made it into the wizarding world.

Ah! Platform 9¾! Refreshing memories.

Hermione breathes out a sigh of relief

Hermione breathes out a sigh of relief. There's still time for the train to leave. She boards a coach, pulling her luggage behind her. She finds all the compartments to be full.

A certain compartment looks empty. She opens the door, to find a blond boy. He has his head leaning on the window.

"Oh! Draco!" she whispers.

She goes towards him, but notices that he's fast asleep. She isn't able to see him properly as he's facing the other way.

Not wanting to bother him, she slowly retraces her steps, and is about to slide the door when she collides into a pretty girl coming in.

"Pansy?" Hermione thinks out loud.

"Oh, Hermione isn't it? What're you doing here?" She asks, a little annoyed.

"Nothing. I was just going," Hermione says, glancing back at Draco, who's still fast asleep.

"Did you want something from him?" Pansy asks.

Hermione shakes her head and walks away, confused by this odd interaction. She pets Crookshanks absent mindedly, wanting to find her friends soon.

She walks further, to find a ginger haired boy munching on a chocolate frog

She walks further, to find a ginger haired boy munching on a chocolate frog. And also the boy with the lightning scar.

She slides open the door and smiles.

"God knows, I've been looking for the two of you!" She says, as the two look at her, open mouthed.
