Oh god, his voice has changed so much, Hermione thinks. Ron smiles at her, clearly overjoyed too.
"It's good to be back, isn't it?" She asks them. Harry nods.
"Bloody hell Hermione, look at you! You've grown up a lot. And you've changed your hairstyle!" Ron says. Oh god, HIS voice has changed too.
"For the better too," he silently says.
"You two as well! I mean, obviously, it's been almost two years." Hermione says, coming inside. She puts her luggage under the seats, and comes to sit beside her two best friends.
"Now tell me Harry, what's the latest from your side? There must be something," Hermione says eagerly.
"Yes, but we've only just met after a long time. It would be strange to kick start our conversation with some strange news." Harry says uncomfortably.
"Oh that's fine, we can take any weird news any day. You just tell us," Hermione says.

"Well, yes. This was really weird. I was telling Ron about this just before you came. You see, when I was with my uncle Vernon, the strangest thing happened. It was a week before the departure. I was sleeping in the guest bedroom, as uncle Vernon thought I was getting a little too big to fit inside the cupboard, when I heard a knock on my window. When I looked out, I couldn't find anything but this stone."
From Harry's pocket emerges a shining, shimmering and the most beautiful purple stone a human (or better still, a wizard) would've ever laid eyes on.

Hermione gasps.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Ron says, admiring it.
"You know why? Because it's the Wanderer's Stone!" Hermione says.
"What?" Harry asks, bewildered.
"Huh? First The philosopher's stone and now the Wanderer's Stone? What's going on?" Ron asks, puzzled.
"Listen to me. The Wanderer's Stone is by far the most powerful Stone in the wizarding world. The person who possesses such an alluring stone is surely capable of conquering the entire wizarding world. But no one has succeeded in finding this stone, whereas it was dropped right outside Harry's window! Not even the Greatest Wizards have possessed it. Surely, HARRY is the chosen one!!" Hermione exclaims, admiring the beauty of the stone.
"What? No, how would you know?" Harry asks her, confused.
"I've read about it. Quite a lot actually. It was really fascinating. What else did you think I was doing these 2 years cooped up in my house?" Hermione sighs.
"Yeah. We thought you were off to join the Movie Industry." Ron says sarcastically.
Hermione rolls her eyes.
"Anyway, Harry, did you tell this to anyone else?" She asks.
"No, just the two of you. Though I think I ought to give Dumbledore an account of what happened that night." Harry says, looking at the stone.
"You better. Secretly though." She says.

They all nod.
"Well, best quickly change into our robes." Hermione says, as they all agree.
Wow, the Wanderer's Stone eh? How come it got into Harry's hands? That boy really is special.

"Well, Harry, what'll you do with the stone now?" Ron asks, looking concerned. Hermione looks at him too, waiting for an answer.
Harry thinks.
"For now, let's just say it stays in my hands. I'll put it inside my bag. Let's reach Hogwarts, and then we'll see what to do." He says.
Gosh. Third year, which is about to begin at Hogwarts, has already kicked off to an interesting start.
Hermione looks at her best friends, and wonders what's in store for the rest of the year.
