Y/N's pov:
Friday night had finally arrived after a grueling week of work. At this moment, all I craved was the comfort of home, eager to collapse into my bed.
It was already late, perhaps around 11 pm? My phone had run out of battery, and while I usually relied on my wristwatch, tonight wasn't one of those days.
On Fridays, I always end up in the most mundane outfit, my hair slightly tousled, and definitely no makeup.
Who knows, maybe my dull and unkempt appearance will deter any potential robbers or serial killers, right?
As I stepped off the bus, I began my stroll towards my apartment, which was just a 10-minute walk from the bus station.
I walked down the street, finding myself alone with no soul in sight. The thick fog obscured my vision, prompting me to quicken my pace, a creepy vibe enveloping me entirely.
My head swiveled from side to side, glancing behind me every so often to ensure everything was alright. After all, being a woman alone on a dark street, caution was essential.
As I turned my gaze forward, I noticed a van slowly approaching, perhaps moving at a mere 5 km/h. It was an ice cream truck, but instead of bringing comfort, it stirred a sense of fear within me.
An ice cream van at this hour? Something didn't feel right.
I clenched my fists tightly and quickened my pace, fear mounting with each step.
With no battery on my phone and no one in sight, the creepy van continued to draw nearer, sending shivers down my spine.
I lowered my gaze, frantically pondering a solution for any potential scenario.
However, the van drew closer, its engine's ominous rumble the only sound echoing through the deserted street, intensifying my fear.
The van came to a halt right beside me, so did my heart. However, I refused to glance back, only hastening my steps. My pulse throbbed throughout my entire body, and the terror of what might happen brought me to the brink of tears.
