Have you ever tried to erase someone from your mind just minutes after meeting them? If you haven't, lucky you. But for me, it's A different story. Ever since Aries reappeared in our apartment, he's been etched in my memory, impossible to shake off.

"Earth to Gigi," Madeline called out, snapping her fingers in front of my face. I was jolted back to reality and faced my two amazing best friends.

"Sorry, I zoned out again," I apologized quickly. "It's okay. What's been on your mind?" Bri inquired.

"Nothing," I replied.

"Come on, Gigi, spill the tea!" Madeline exclaimed, snapping her fingers playfully. "You've been all quiet and zoned out lately."

Bri chimed in with concern, "Are you stressed about the party tonight? Is that what's been on your mind?"

I shook my head, trying to hide my true thoughts. "Nah, it's not because of the party or anything like that. I swear, it's nothing."

Madeline's smirk grew bigger, and she leaned in, teasingly asking, "Then what's got into your head? Or should I say, who?"

I tried to maintain my poker face. "No one, seriously. It's just...nothing important," I insisted, hoping they would drop the subject.

Both of them gave me A skeptical look, but eventually, Bri sighed and said, "Okay, if you say so. Just remember, we're here for you if you ever want to talk."

I appreciated their understanding, even if they didn't fully believe me. "Thanks, guys. I'll let you know if anything changes." I said with A appreciative smile.

"Okay, since we're all good, let's get ready for the party," Madeline said as she got up from bed and rushed to the bathroom. Bri and I exchanged looks and shook our heads, wondering what we had gotten ourselves into, before joining Madeline.

"Should I go for a bold, nude, or soft makeup look?" Madeline asked, turning her head to look at us for our answer.

Bri and I exchanged smiles like two idiots and simultaneously said, "Nude!" Madeline rolled her eyes and nodded, then turned back to her vanity mirror to continue applying her lashes.

As for me, I went back to my own vanity and did my own makeup. I wanted to keep it natural and not go overboard. I only used primer, concealer, light blush, highlighter, mascara, and lip gloss.

After finishing my makeup, I went into Madeline's room to choose a dress since she has a lot of party dresses. While looking through her closet, one dress immediately caught my eye. It was a strapless black leather mini dress. Without hesitation, I took it off the hanger and put it on. When I looked at myself in the mirror, the dress fit perfectly, accentuating all my curves.
