It was getting close to 7, so I started getting ready by putting my makeup on and curling my hair.

I decided to wear a tight black sparkly dress with pink heels just for fun.

When I finished, I looked in the mirror and I had to admit, I looked good.

The doorbell rang a few minutes later, and I figured it was Elle.

"You look hot!" She exclaimed as I opened the door for her.

"Thanks, you look great too," I smiled.

"Alright, let's go, I don't want to be late," Elle said, grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the door.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming," I laughed at her eagerness.

We started walking to whoever's house the party was at.

"Hey, you didn't tell me the sandlot boys were coming," I said.

"I didn't know," she replied innocently.

"Yes, you did, Benny told me about them coming," I told her.

"Wait, why were you talking to Benny?" She said, getting excited.

"He went to the grocery store with me earlier, doesn't matter," I replied quickly.

"Oh my gosh, you guys would be so cute together," she squealed.

"Hah, that's funny. No way, it's never gonna happen," I scoffed.

"Sure," she said poking my side.

"Oh, would you quit it," I laughed.

She just smirked and continued talking about how perfect we would be together until we finally arrived at the party.

We saw the sandlot boys as we walked up the steps of the house.

"Hallie, Elle, what are you guys doing here?" Ham asked as he saw us.

"Going to a party, what does it look like?" I replied.

Then, I opened the door, and the loud sound of music filled my ears.

"Holy crap, this looks awesome!" Squints yelled over the music.

There were a lot of people here, and most of them looked like they were drinking. I never really did that kind of stuff. It didn't seem worth it to drink a bunch and get sick or throw up.

"Guys, don't drink. You'll regret it if you do," I warned the boys. The last thing they needed was to get their hands on alcohol.

No one answered me.

"Um, hello? I know I'm speaking English," I repeated.

"Guys, tell her you won't so she doesn't freak out," Benny said, looking at everyone.

"Okay, we won't," Squints replied, running off.

"Yeah," everyone else murmured and then ran off with him, execpt for Benny.

"Well, I better go keep an eye on them," he told me.
