• Legolas's old memories •

The sun was rising in the woodland realm

When Legolas suddenly waked up, and sat up on his bed putting his right hand on his heart who was beating faster than usual

He was also breathing heavely and strugle to calm down

He tried to take a deep breath to calm himself down but he could'nt

He felt a overwelming of emotions taking control of him

He could'nt help it and tears begin to drop on his cheeks

He try to lay on his side and stop the crying but it didn't work

He just could'nt control it, it was too hard

Thranduil who was passing trought the corridor heard someone crying but he didn't know where it was from

As he try to find from where it came from he suddenly understand where it came from

"Legolas...?" He whispered looking at his son's room

He immediatly went to Legolas's room and open the door worried for his young elf

He closed the door behind him silently

"Legolas... What's wrong Legolas?" He asked approching his son who's back was facing the door still crying incontrolably

"Little leaf?" Thranduil called sitting on the side of the bed putting his hand on Legolas's back trying to get a reaction from him

Legolas didn't respond at all, he was just sobbing still trying to calm down somehow and didn't seem to really notice his dad

"Legolas...? What's happening?"

Thranduil voice was craking a bit more and more in worry for his son, he hated seing him cry like that

Legolas finally turned to face his father still tears filed in his blue eyes

"Ada..." Legolas's said with a weak voice strugling to speak correctly

"I'm here, Legolas" Thranduil said wipping a tear from Legolas's cheek with his hand

Thranduil was surpised when Legolas suddenly sit up and hug him tightly

Thranduil put his hand on Legolas's back hugging him back

"Speak to me Legolas, what's bothering you?, what's wrong??" Thranduil asked patting Legolas's back trying to confort him to calm him down

Legolas let go of the hug and looked at his father who was trying hard not to cry too

"Legolas...?" 

Legolas wanted to speak to his dad but no words came out of his mouth

"It's okay, i'm here you'll be fine Legolas" said Thranduil gently putting Legolas's hair behind his ears and wipping some other tears on his cheeks

"Please tell me what's wrong" Asked Thranduil

"I... i'm sorry...i miss her, ada" said Legolas with a rasped voice

"Her? Who?"

"Nana... I've seen her in my nightmare..."

After a silence, Thranduil take a deep breath to calm down, he knew it would happen some day but the memories of his dead wife hurt him too deeply

"Legolas that okay, i'm here now" Thranduil said putting his hand on Legolas's shoulder

"I miss her... i want her back ada..."
Legolas said broking back into tears

Thranduil let Legolas lay his head on his chest and put his hand on his head to give him a position of confort and protection

"You'll be fine, i promise, i love you Legolas..." said Tranduil hiding the tears forming into his eyes

"I love you Ada" replied Legolas who didn't want to let go of his father

Thranduil hugged him tightly and finnally let go of the hug

"Do you want to go on a walk with me today in the forest?" Asked Thranduil

"Really? Can we?"

"Of course Legolas, we can" replied Thranduil with a smiled on his face

The last time they did that was a long time ago when Legolas was a elfing

Thranduil knew it's what Legolas needed to feel better and forget about the nightmare he had

"Thank you Ada!" Said Legolas standing up and wipe the last dry tears on his cheeks and smiled

Thranduil then leaved the room to let Legolas get ready

Thranduil was on his room when Legolas enter in the room

"Do you need anything Legolas?" Asked Thranduil

"Humm..., i was wondering if you could braid my hair please" Asked Legolas kindly

"Of course come here" replied Thranduil with a sweet smile

Thranduil was braiding the last braid on the back of Legolas's head

"I love it when you braid my hair, the braids look so pretty! Hannon-le Ada!"

"I'm glad you like it then!"

Thranduil was already glad to see Legolas with a smile on his face instead of tears

"Are you ready ada?" Asked Legolas

"Yes i am, we can go now"

Thranduil and Legolas went into the forest together and walked peacefuly as the sun shine on their faces and the birds were singing

Legolas felt better and Thranduil was happy about it

They passed a few hours outside, talking and laughing together and then came back to the kingdom

While they were eating together for lunch Legolas said

"Hannon-le Ada..."

"For what Legolas?"

"Everything..., for being here for me, for today, for helping me..., i love you"

"I'm always gonna be there for you, i love you more than anyone Legolas" replied Thranduil softly

"And... your Nana loved you too, never forget that"

"I know ada... and she loved you too"

"You're right, she's probably looking after us from where she is"

After lunch Thranduil and Legolas passed the whole day together and had fun together and were enjoying there time

Legolas was happy and was thankful to have his dad by his side today

He missed passing that much time with him cause he was too busy most of the time

"Ada? Can i ask you something?" Asked Legolas

"Yes Legolas? What do you want?" Asked Thranduil looking at his young elf

"I really miss passing time together, i hope we could do that more often like we used to before, when i was a elfing, do you think we can?"

"Oh i'm sorry, i didn't realise i wasn't giving you enough time, you're right Legolas i also want to pass more time just you and me, forgive me" replied Thranduil

"Hannon-le Ada" said Legolas hugging his dad

"I love you my young leaf" replied Tranduil
