This chapter is going to be a slightly shorter than the other ones

This chapter will be mostly about a deep conversation between Thranduil and Legolas

Thranduil and Legolas safely came back home together

When they arrived at the kingdom, Legolas went to his room silently

When Thranduil saw that his son seem sad while hoing to his room, he followed him

Thranduil knocked on the door of his son's room

"Legolas? Are you okay?" Thranduil asked à bit worried about him

But when Legolas wanted to replied to his father, no word came out of his mouth, his troat was too tight, and he suddenly burst into tears

When Thranduil heard Legolas crying he oppened the door suddenly

"Little leaf... why are you crying?" Thranduil asked approching Legolas who was siting on his bed, trying to hide his tears with his hands

"Legolas? What's bothering you? What's wrong?"

Legolas could'nt make a word came out of his mouth, his crying was uncontrollable

Thranduil then sat next to him and hold Legolas's hands

Thranduil stayed like that till Legolas calm down after a couple of minutes

When Legolas start to calm down, Thranduil gently put Legolas's hair behind his ears to saw his face

"Legolas... Speak to me, what's wrong?" Thranduil said with a soft voice

"I just feel bad about the fact that i insult you earlier..." Said Legolas

Thranduil wasn't expecting that responce and felt sad about it

"Legolas, i told you it was okay, i forgive you, even if you should'nt have said it"

"I know... but still i was really mean to you... i'm sorry"

Thranduil then hugged Legolas

"It's okay Legolas, the most important is that you apologise and i forgive you" Said Thranduil

"Legolas... I think you have the right to know why i am so overprotective over you..." Thranduil said

"I know, you just want to protect me"

"Not only..."

Thranduil took a deep breath before started talking

"Legolas... I... I love you more than anything... you are the most precious person I know in my eyes, my life has no meaning without you Legolas... you are my whole world...I'm sorry if you felt like I didn't give you enough space, I just want to protect you, Legolas...I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to you, I'm sorry if sometimes I didn't show you enough love, but you should always remember that I love you my dear little leaf, I may not always be the best father in the world, I make mistakes, I try my best, forgive me...I'm just very afraid of losing you... I don't want you to leave me like your nana, I don't want you to be
hurt, my heart tears into pieces every time I see you in danger... every time you cry... it breaks my heart...
Legolas, I just want the best for you, I want to see you happy, I only want your good Legolas, I want you to be safe... if one day I have to give my own life for you to live, i will do it without hesitation... I'm sorry Legolas... I'm sorry, I love you more than anything in the world, more than my own life..."

When Thranduil finish his speech he saw Legolas completely froze in shock by all the words he had say, tears were running down his cheeks uncontrollably

"Ada..."

Legolas took his father on his arms when he notice that his father start crying too

"Ada... I'm sorry, I need to tell you things too... Ada... I don't tell you enough but I'm beyond grateful to have you as a father... I couldn't imagine a better father than you, I love you so much ada... I promise you that I won't be mean to you anymore... you are also very important to my eyes, i miss you more than anything when you are not with me... I'm sorry... I understand why you protect me so much now, i'm really sorry ada for everything..., please never leave me... i need you... i don't want to lose you too..."

Thranduil could'nt stop crying now cause of the beautiful words of his son

"Aww... Legolas... my sweetheart, i love you, i will never leave you, i promise..."

When Thranduil was going to let go of the hug, Legolas grab him back

"Please stay with me..." Legolas said holding his father tightly

"I'm here Legolas... i'm here... i'm not leaving you" Thranduil said hugging him tightly

Father and son were crying in each other's arms

Legolas had never seen his father cry like that before, but he was happy to have the weight lifted off his father's shoulders

They were both crying in each other's arms but it didn't felt bad

It felt good...

Like the weight of all these words and this pain hidden for all these years, finally flies away...

After a few minutes, Thranduil and Legolas finally calmed down and wiped away their tears

"Ada? Can I have the elk plushie that I used to slept with when I was an elfing?" Legolas asked

"Of course you can, let me find it" replied Thranduil

Legolas was so tired from crying this much that when he laid down on his bed he immediately fell asleep when his father gaved him his old plushie and he fell asleep hugging it tightly

Thranduil put a blanket over him and gently unbraided his hair to not wake him up

"I love you Legolas...sleep well" said Thranduil kissing Legolas' forehead
