Mason leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Angelique as she hesitated, her gaze drifting to the floor. He could sense her reluctance and there was something she wasn't telling him.

"Angelique, is there something you're not telling me?" Mason asked with concern

Angelique hesitated, her words catching in her throat as she struggled to find the courage to speak. She knew that she had to tell Mason about the terrifying ordeal she had endured, but the memory of the werewolf's savage pursuit sent a shiver down her spine.

"Sheriff," she began, her voice barely above a whisper, "I... I saw it. The werewolf. It chased me." Her words came out in a rush, her hands trembling with fear as she relived the terror of that fateful night.

Mason listened intently, his expression grave as he absorbed her words. He could see the fear in Angelique's eyes, the raw terror that lingered just beneath the surface. He reached out a comforting hand, his touch gentle as he sought to reassure her.

"Take your time, Angelique," he said softly, his voice calm and steady. "I'm here to listen, whatever you need to tell me."

Angelique took a deep breath, her gaze fixed on Mason's face as she recounted the events of that fateful night. She described how the werewolf had emerged from the shadows, its eyes burning with an otherworldly fire as it pursued her through the darkness.

"I... I don't know how I made it back to the trailer," she admitted, her voice trembling with emotion. "But somehow, I did."

Mason listened in silence, his mind racing with the implications of Angelique's words. The werewolf was real, and it was hunting in Ruby Falls. He knew that he had to act fast if they had any hope of stopping it before it struck again.

But as he looked into Angelique's eyes, he saw the fear and uncertainty that lingered there, a silent reminder of the dangers that lurked in the shadows of their once peaceful town. And as he reached out to comfort her, he knew that they were in for a long and harrowing journey ahead.
