A poem to now end the story. And dictate our lives as both married couple and parents.

Poem name: Married Life

About: A poem of Love and Family

In the early days, shortly after we bought our house.

Sparks flew to the sky between us, a bickering spouse.

Spouses, we would argue, big and small.

as we stumbled through the challenges that life did install.

Our bickering often reached its fiery height.

leaving us with choices, decisions to make that night.

To forgive and move on, our differences embrace.

or walk separate paths, a life apart we would face.

In the first scenario, if we chose to forgive.

we would try not to bicker, in our differences live.

Accepting each other, as love took its course.

Rebuilding our bond, and of divorce, no remorse.

But what if divorce were the path we would take?

Two strangers, once lovers, now with hearts at stake.

Despite the tied knot, we would unravel our fate.

and contemplate the challenges that would await.

And in the second scenario, with kids in our midst

our love faced new tests as they entered the list.

Sparks still ignited, as we bickered each day.

Not realizing our kids had joined in the fray.

The boiling point reached; choices clear in our sight.

Forgive and repair, or divorce, ending our fight!

In forgiveness, we would strive to make things right.

Shield our kids from the storm, through the day and night.

but if divorce became our inevitable choice

our hearts torn asunder; we would silence our voice.

Yet we could not just orphan the ones we held dear.

their well-being and future we would both hold nearby.

The choices were ours, to make and decide.

to mend what was broken, or let love subside.

In a life full of challenges, with choices to bear.

we would author our own story, a tale of love and care.
